“On May 13, 2022, my husband and I showed up at this store right before 9:00 pm. We saw the employees had cleaned up and were mopping the floor. The OPEN sign was still lit, so we tried the door, which was unlocked. We asked if they would still fill our order and they accommodated us. They could have just said they were closed, being Friday night and all, but they didn't! So, I wanted to express our appreciation for the closing crew that night. Small TVs in the bar keep you updated on sports and news but don't overwhelm. Charming and attentive hosts see to your needs but never rush you, fellow patrons and regulars will chat if you like but won't intrude. The food is all scratch prepped and delicious, with American and genuine Irish standards. “Cozy and friendly, meet neighbors and fellow dog lovers over coffee and bagels. Einstein has great bagels in many flavors and a number of spreads. The coffee is hot and strong. We always sit outside with the dog and all the other dog people. There is parking by the rear entrance and you can also walk or bike up to the front entrance on Connecticut Ave. It looks like quite a few people go to both Einstein and the neighboring Starbucks.”

I went back just recently and was happy to find the quality was still really, really good. The atmosphere seems to have become slightly less fancy compared to when it opened, but the food hasn't changed. Friendly staff, dishes are priced fair for the Bethesda market.”
