“My son absolutely LOVES Cedar Lane Nursery. He is constantly talking about school and all his friends. The teachers are fantastic and I really feel that he is given one-on-one care and attention. Being a first time mom, I was nervous transitioning my two year old into school, but he adapted quickly and I can already see how much he's learning and growing; not to mention he's socializing so well with the other kids in his class. We are so exited to graduate to the 2/3's class next year!”

“My son has gone to Zoia’s for almost two years (next month) and we have had a wonderful experience! They are very accommodating and receptive to requests in regards to your child and provide a good learning environment! They care about all the child and take the time to form a bond to encourage the child to feel as comfortable with them as the feel in their own home. Highly recommend!!”

“Cedar Lane is particularly supportive now when we all need connection. As the church professes: Whoever you are, wherever you are from, Whomever you love, Wherever you are on life's journey, Whatever your gender identity, beliefs, or immigration status, YOU ARE WELCOME HERE.”

“Our daughter is currently in her second year at Crestview and we could not be happier. The staff is phenomenal, creating a very warm and inclusive environment for the children and their families. Our daughter absolutely loves going to school each day and has since day 1. What has really impressed my husband and I though has been the education/learning focus that the school has as part of its core mission/curriculum. At three and a half she is already reading and starting to do some some early math all which is a result of instruction at the school. We continue to be blown away each day by what she comes home being able to do. The school's focus is very much on creating responsible, considerate and autonomous children, so there is a big focus on having children learn to be independent and help out with all chores around the house, an added bonus. Would strongly recommend to anyone with young children. We plan to send all of our children once they hit the entry level.”

“International School of Music is a great school for any type of music class. My daughter has been doing a virtual class for a year now. Despite it’s still being online, she still learns a lot. Her piano teacher (Junie K.) is very knowledgeable and helps her with the fundamentals and makes sure she understands everything about playing the piano. The staff is helpful and quick to respond to all my questions. I am happy that we enrolled her at ISM.”

“My son has been at RSCC for more than two years now, and with each successive month, my wife and I are happier and happier with our decision. We exhaustively researched many options in and around Bethesda and the biggest factor in choosing RSCC was the almost complete lack of staff turnover. So many employees have been there for more than 10 years, which is nothing short of amazing in the child care arena. In almost any business, long tenured employees is a very good sign. We son has moved up to his fourth classroom now and I am continually amazed (and thankful) for the care, compassion, teaching, and professionalism I see from literally every staff member. Almost everyone seems to know our son by name, even though he has never been in any of their classrooms. In the end, their is a real sense of community here at RSCC which I think sets it apart. I'll be sad in a few more years when my son graduates to kindergarten and leaves RSCC.....although it will be nice to no longer have tuition bills and take advantage of MCPS.”

“I came to Doris Mattingly as adult learner seeking to recapture a lifelong desire to play the piano. I am delighted she was willing to take me on as a student. I have probably forgotten most of what I learned as a child and have some new bad habits to overcome. But Doris is patient, encouraging, and has a teaching style that makes one want to do well. She selects music that is fun and interesting for me to play. Even the skills-building exercises are deceptively challenging and not at all elementary. I am learning to appreciate music as lyrical-telling a story, stirring imagination, and communicating beauty and emotion. But, sometimes I am secretly happy that I have just played the notes! The environment in Doris’ home is warm, bright, and inviting and I am welcomed at the door by her sweet golden retriever, Yum Yum, who knows I will bring her a treat. I am living my dream and am so happy to be sharing that with Doris. When she plays a piece for or with me it is clear that she is a master of all she teaches.”
