“Neat little hiking trail. This trail takes you directly to Black Hill lake and the perimeter trail. Decently maintained too. Parking is scarce as well. You do have a small lot to park maybe 4-5 vehicles but not much else.”

“Dog's Day has been a godsend for my golden retriever. She has been either spending play days or boarding at Dog's Day for over 3 years. This has been a constant positive experience for her. Her outside play is great exercise along with the socialization. The cage-free boarding is managed expertly by the Dog's Day staff. The competence of every staff member is impressive. They truly enjoy what they are doing. Kelly and Matt are responsive and knowledgeable business owners and I cannot say enough about how grateful I am to have discovered Dog's Day!”

“Had lunch in a nice shaded area with picnic tables overlooking a playground. My niece really had a lot of fun, as did I, especially when we visited the dog park. Many different breeds, they really enjoyed the freedom. Great place to visit even if you don't have a dog!”

“A very fun set of trails to bike on. I always go on a weekday around lunchtime and it is relatively empty. A simple loop is hard cider to browning run to windy ridge and back via the western piedmont. Allows for a good exercise at a speed of your own choosing. I’ve been able to roll over all the roots and rocks encountered. If it rained the day before expect things to be muddy. And it can be very muddy. Even if it didn’t rain the day before expect a few muddy patches to always be present. During the summer expect lots of mosquitoes. During a few weeks in the fall a certain type of spider likes to spin their web across the trail gap. Expect to be clearing a lot of webs from your face around that time. And maybe carrying a few with you on your ride. Always watch out for horse poo.”

“Spent a night at the Loop E group camping area. Half of the area is a little too hilly to be comfortable in a tent, but OK in a pinch. The upper area is nice and flat and perfect for tenting, but a bit far from the main fire pit. Still very pleased overall as always”
