“I was looking forward to trying this place after reading so many good reviews about its comparison to NYC Chinese food (I am from NYC). I ordered the usual fried rice with wings. It wasn't bad; it was definitely amongst the best I have had in the DMV so far, but it wasn't as good as NYC style Chinese food. Nonetheless, it still became my newest takeout spot - I'd order from here again.”

“I love a good brunch spot! Many people complain but I’m going to congratulate! Running a business is not easy, especially in the food service industry. This restaurant’s decor really is a whole vibe and the music is great. The staff are pleasant and the food comes out hot. I had the crab hash and I ordered a biscuit and eggs on the side because sis was a little hungry. The margarita mimosas get you where you need to be. 1, 2, 3 and you’re good to go! I’ve been a few times since they’ve opened and they’ve been consistently good. Prices are reasonable for quality of food. I definitely recommend. The DMV is infamous for brunch so add it to your list! My girls and I were all smiles when we left.”

“Went here today and we had the chicken and whiting combo and the shrimp and whiting comb, mac and cheese, collard greens and potato salad and the banana pudding. The collards and the potato salad were sweet to me and the mac and cheese tasted as if it had Lawry's in it. Now if you come from a household that seasons their noodles for mac and cheese I'm not accustomed to that but it's probably going to taste good to you. The banana pudding was alright, it reminded me of eating cake batter taste wise. The consistency was whipped and light, not so much a pudding and I appreciated that. All in all, 4 out of 5 stars and I would go back.”

“The firecracker roll was awesome! Definitely want to try some of the bento boxes that they have but I went for the sushi first. Will definitely be back. Highly recommended!”

“We visited about 3 weeks ago now. I had been wanting to go for some time after finding a review searching for places to eat. Small space with a bar, but very very nice. Absolutely loved the mural on the wall of people and places in DC-even saw a few of our h.s. friends on the wall! Had the pleasure of meeting the owner who was in that day. He was very nice and personable, staff was pleasant as well. We will definitely be going back, food was delicious. Black owned, Native to Washington, DC”

“Looking from the outside, you wouldn’t think a lot of the shop that’s outside of an AF Base. However, I dare you to go in and try them out! A man named Gus helped orient me to their menu suggested I try the Gyro. They’ve got a large variety of items, but the gyro is where it’s at!! Perfectly cooked meat and fries, tzatziki sauce that has the best blend of creaminess and flavor, and top both off with their special spice mix. If you’ve never had baklava, definitely get it here. Flaky and some doughyness with a light syrup…You won’t be disappointed. Good price for as much food as I got”

“I've ordered curbside carryout here multiple times, (solo and for date night in). They don't disappoint. Everything is seasoned well. They know their meats. I've had lamb, steak and pork chops all cooked perfectly and flavorful. The prices and portions are very reasonable. Great curbside customer service and friendly staff. My favorite sides are the roasted potatoes, green beans & fried plantains.”

“Food is good, it has it days. Cashiers are on the dry side, need to be more user friendly and not so dry. I just feel like at this time and day with all going on we should be ecstatic to be alive, well and working. Definitely be more appreciative of others as your customers and vice versa.”
