“Update: Finally got to try the pain au chocolate today. I have had these all over France, and these are amount the best I've had anywhere. Now open. They serve pasteries, lunch items, and breads. I tried the sourdough and bagettes and I can guarantee that this is the best bread in southern Maryland and probably beyond. If for no other reason it is worth going out of you way to get bread here. It is located in historic St. Mary's, right next to Farthing's Ordinary in a charming old 1700s style building.”

“I visited today, 12/22/18, and the visitors center was shopped to be open, last day, but it was closed. Good thing it was for the employees and volunteers because there weren't many people there. This park is dog friendly and the trails are paved. We walked 2 miles in the North end of the Visitors Center, and turned around after reaching the college area. This park is very well kept, and the water view is beautiful. The Maryland Dove wasn't there, or I didn't see it. Not sure if it was moved. The trail to the Maryland Dove was closed. None of the buildings was open, therefore, we didn't see much other than the architecture and village layout. The walk through the park was relaxing and quiet. I recommend visiting when the buildings are open for you to learn about the village. Otherwise, it is just an outdoor park. I might visit again during a different season when everything is open.”
