“I visited today, 12/22/18, and the visitors center was shopped to be open, last day, but it was closed. Good thing it was for the employees and volunteers because there weren't many people there. This park is dog friendly and the trails are paved. We walked 2 miles in the North end of the Visitors Center, and turned around after reaching the college area. This park is very well kept, and the water view is beautiful. The Maryland Dove wasn't there, or I didn't see it. Not sure if it was moved. The trail to the Maryland Dove was closed. None of the buildings was open, therefore, we didn't see much other than the architecture and village layout. The walk through the park was relaxing and quiet. I recommend visiting when the buildings are open for you to learn about the village. Otherwise, it is just an outdoor park. I might visit again during a different season when everything is open.”

“I can't give this a "fair" rating based on my experience(s), or should I say lack there of, due to the fact that I've only been here one time and that was just to visit the store end of the Bar. On the other hand though, with me living practically right next door, I do know some things about Betty Russell's.... The people who own/run the bar and store are very nice, respectful and just great people all around! They wave at you every single time you drive past. They'll strike up a conversation with you no matter who you are, whether they know you or not. There's a crowd of people that gather there every morning just to have coffee with some good company and close friends, which I love personally! The people who go there to buy something at the store, or have a beer, are respectful, responsible people. And I know this because no matter what's going on at "Russell's" on any given night, whether it's a Horseshoe Tournament, or a Wrestling Match-I've never hear them! Even while driving by! I like the fact that I can live beside a Bar and not be woken up in the dead of the night by Cops sirens due to a fight that's in progress, or because the patrons are being drunk and disorderly. And you can feel the vibe that it's a "everyone knows everyone" kind of place. So with that being said, if I ever wanted to go out one evening/weekend to have a good time, Russell's Bar would definitely be a place I wouldn't mind going to, that's for sure. Good ole' country folk, with hospitality that runs for miles-I know that's exactly how this place is and again, I've really never stepped inside the door! So I'm going to give Betty Russell's 5 Stars based on the vibe I get from there alone.”

“A little expensive but the older lady is very nice and will help out any way she can. Now there is a younger employee with long brown hair she will jip you off. So be careful. Count your change. I sent my boys age 16 and 13 and to get three drinks was a $20 bill when they came out they had $1.50 left mind you this was Arizona Iced Tea I had to go back in in fight with this girl to give me back my change after she tried telling me that she gave the change to my boys so I emptied out my boys pockets in front of her told her that my boys just don't do that I know better never have done it then I threatened to call her boss and she gave me my change back she's tried charging me the same amount of money for a pack of Newport smooth select cigarettes as regular Newport cigarettes there are dollar apart Newport smooth select is a dollar less had to fight with her about that too so we only went in when the older lady was working I believe it's the owner's wife we could no longer go in when this younger girl was working we couldn't trust that she wouldn't steal our money and then the fact that she would be on her cell phone we would have to wait just for her to get off the phone she hold up her pointer finger to us and stay one minute and then sit there and talk on the phone for about 3 more minutes and then get off and then take our money as long as the older lady is there and then I haven't seen the young gentleman that was there maybe in his thirties very honest very nice kind guy very rare that we seen him the young girl is the only thing wrong with that place other than that it's very convenient always warm in the winter cool in the summer variety of foods and drinks stuff for your vehicles things that you need in emergencies for the most part that very well little store”
