“Our local gas station. Friendly place with all that you need and then some.”

“This is a hot dog stand, sometimes with other savory items like grilled cheese sandwiches or grilled ruebens. It doesn’t pretend to be anything more than what it is, which is why it is great. Pork/beef, all-beef, and veggie dogs. If you’re looking for a decent dog on a buttery, grilled bun, at a fair price, then this is the hot dog stand for you, my friends! Fast, friendly service, too!”

“The Lobster Trap put together a wicked nice party for my work's holiday party. Everyone was very pleased and the food was very fancy. These are people that typically have very high expectations, so I think that says a lot actually. I didn't realize this function hall existed. It's very large and much nicer than I was thinking it would be while looking at the website. The view is also very nice, as you can see from the oceanside photo, and there's loads of parking, as you can also see in the photo.”

“The shop was thoughtfully laid out with beautiful pieces of quality, but most importantly I had an engaging and educational conversation with Andrew as we discussed the items for sale. A+ for service, presentation, and most of all Andrew taking the time to talk.”

“The coffee is good here. Not sure why others reviewing the bathroom situation since this is a cafe business. It’s a well placed Dunkin’ Donuts when you need a fix between Ipswich and Gloucester.”

“We stopped here recently while driving through Essex. This is a fun store on the local antique trail. The antiques here tend to be more on the "upper" end, focusing on furniture and artwork. There is parking available out front, and the owner was cheerful and welcoming. Well worth a stop if you're out hunting for antique furnishings. Check out their website for a taste of what they have for sale.”

“After long wait on line outside, had the perfect clam chowder with large serving of whole clams, potatoes, without the thick cream. Combo fried plate was also perfection. Pricey. Narrow bench seating. Great.”

“What looks like another fried food place on the outside is actually New American style dining on the inside. In a casual atmosphere, delicious food is cooked from a menu that surprises. I had the "Haddock Provencal", a beautiful piece of fish prepared with pureed Mediterranean veggies and baby red potatoes. Every bite was a treat. They also has a fabulous brunch menu of egg items -- and I saw a burger or two go by, So they seem to have something for everyone, and the service was excellent. As the place is on the small size, reservations are recommended.”

“We went here for the first time since it was bought and changed from Periwinkles. Our experience from the time I called and made the reservation (Deanna you were just wonderful) to the end of the meal, everything was just great. We love the new decor, furnishings and atmosphere. Much brighter too! We started with the friend clams and only wish I had taken a picture before we all chowed them done! Sweet and just melted in your mouth! An interesting and loved addition was the grilled lemon half that we squirted over the clams. My sister and I will both be grilling half lemons in the future. Everyone truly enjoyed their dishes from baked haddock, scallop casserole, korean scallop dish I can't spell and the Hanger steak. We finished with the seasonal dessert which was an amazing individual round carrot cake (really feeds at least 2/3)with walnuts all around the outside. Our service was impeccable and the owner even stopped by to say hello. I highly recommend going in for a great meal and a good time!”

“Joe is the best!! My husband and I visited the village last Sunday afternoon after a baby shower. He was very attentive, informative, and equally charming. I had the onion soup, and my husband had the fried clams, both were OUTSTANDING. We will definitely be back this week, and we will be requesting Joe again.”
