“I write this review about 10 years later after a full Gastric Bypass surgery was done at Winchester hospital by Dr. Ameri. I was referred to his office by my primary care Dr . After a couple visits and speaking to Dr Ameri with my family and wife the decision was made to do the full Gastric Bypass surgery . I suffered as a retired career Firefighter of hypertension and everything else possible except diabetes. I was certainly headed towards diabetes if my weight and health got worse by obesity. (Or worse things). Luckily my health care insurance covered my surgery. It was a blessing in disguise ! After doing everything that was required of me to get the final approval for the surgery and yes, there are some steps you have to take to get approved and ready my insurance and per Dr Ameri and his staff to get prepared for this life altering surgery! I had my surgery and followed everything to a T after the surgery ! Vitamins, fluid intake. Soft foods for a few months followed by careful observation all by Dr Ameri and his office and staff. Important follow up visits and continue to follow important life eating steps to lose weight while Maintaining my health was key ! I was at my largest 316 when I retired from the Fire service. Not good ! 10 years later give or take I today weigh 210 lbs. this is absolutely remarkable and all my ailments I delt with 10 years ago are gone ! I maintain good vigilance of what I eat and drink , especially alcohol intake. It’s vey important you watch what you consume. Drinking your calories is not a viable answer ! Believe me ! Eating healthy is important ! And knowing when to stop ! I’ve been meaning to do this review for years. It is in my opinion Dr Ameri through his profession as a surgeon in bariatric surgeries most likely saved my life or saved me from having a medical condition that could have been catastrophic in my opinion. From Day 1 on meeting Dr Ameri and to the credit of Louise his number 1 Nurse assistant did an absolutely stellar job from beginning to end ! To often we get procedures of medical treatment in life and never really thank and comment on what for me turned out to be a LIFE lifesaver in so many ways. My life is clearly more manageable and brining up 4 boys and being married you absolutely have to be in good health and take care of yourself. If not for yourself but your family ! Dr Ameri is a caring and true professional ! He cares about what he does and his expertise goes without saying ! If you’re lucky enough to be treated like I was by Dr Ameri and his staff you will certainly have made a great decision ! Thanks very Much to Dr Ameri and his staff ! “Dr. Tran has been my primary care for about a year now. We only met once on a virtual call back in July and she was super kind and truly listened to some of my concerns. I unfortunately didn’t have any medical insurance and when I needed some paperwork for my job she was on top of everything. Her assistant and the doctor herself called me and wrote me all necessary work notes, not a lot of providers do that from just meeting a person once. She followed up with me via a phone call too to make sure I was all set. When I finally got insurance she was able to get me right in to see her, she listened to all of my concerns once again and provided the best care possible. I am a patient who is definitely overweight and she did not once mention my weight in regards to my other issues, that truly was a first for me.
