He has done everything possible to make sure people are comfortable and safe and that means alot to me. I've been to several gyms and this is one that stands out, always clean, always people ready to help with smiles, weights and machines ready, plenty of space to work out and roam. “I went in to check it out. I had a friend tell me that it was better than when I had been there many years ago. Wasn't disappointed. They had expanded, adding more equipment and they have plans to expand further. It wasn't crowded, making it easy to get through a workout without having to wait long to use equipment. Best of all, with the new expansion they said they will be installing a few showers and a possibility of an individual sauna. This is nice because the next closest gym is around 15 miles away. They do honor the Silver Sneakers program.”

Good gym with a decent amount of free weights, clean environment and the other gym goers seem friendly. Front desk people are nice and respectful for the most part. I just wish the would get free weight barbells.”

The positive energy and welcoming encouragement from others is unlike anything I've seen at a gym before. “To be honest I was nervous to check out 1817 - I heard great things about the gym but having never done CrossFit before I was a bit intimated. I started going in September of 2020 and am so very happy I did. My fears were instantly diminished once meeting the coaches - they are very knowledgeable and helped me find ways to make every movement scalable to my fitness level; they were very encouraging through the whole process. To date not only have I exceeded the fitness goals I had set, I have built some great relationships in the process. Becoming part of the crew at 1817 is one of the best things I have done for myself - 5 stars all the way!!!”
