The care they gave my sister was far and above my expectations!! The staff was extremely friendly , caring and helpful to not only my sister but also to everyone that visited! (December 20, 2021, 10:54 am)This review is in reference to Activities Director Kay McMahon. My family has been very happy overall with the Avalon of Commerce Township and how they are caring for my father. Kay McMahon, specifically, makes it her mission to interact directly with each resident and make them feel comfortable, happy and loved. Kay is a ray of sunshine on a daily basis and she works very diligently to spread that throughout the community. Being separated from your loved one is very daunting, but the staff at the Avalon -- including Kay McMahon -- make the transition and every day experiences very positive. I am most impressed with Kay's creativeness, ingenuity and ability to engage residents on a daily basis to keep their social, physical and emotional well being at an optimum level. Well done, Kay!
(December 10, 2021, 7:56 pm)Last summer we were faced with the reality that we needed to move our mom into assisted living. We toured many facilities and none compared to The Avalon. Four months later we could not be happier with our decision. The staff, the facility, the activities and the care are all top notch! Each staff member takes personal interest with all of the residents, accommodating all of their changing needs. There is always an activity going on to keep the residents engaged. We highly recommend The Avalon of Commerce Township for anyone's loved one when they move to this next phase of life.

(December 2, 2021, 3:21 pm)Our father loves the Avalon! All of the staff I encounter while visiting my dad are friendly, attentive and empathetic for the patients. My dad enjoys the activities that are planned daily and I've been able to sit with my dad for a meal. My dad and I agree that the food and dining experience is great!
(November 19, 2021, 4:01 pm)My mother has lived there since before becoming the Avalon and I will just say that our family couldn’t not be more pleased with the care and compassion that she and our family has received our the years . The staff is warm and friendly. The building is also clean and has a home like feeling. My family and I have watched my mother blossom and become active, at her last Assisted Living she was withdrawn and depressed . Since we placed her at the now Avalon, she is the social butterfly that we lovingly remember her to be . The activities department is honestly top tier . I can’t say enough about great things about this community. I can only look forward to the things come now that the Avalon has taken over .
