(August 4, 2020, 11:42 pm)Beautiful and serene lake. Quite dark night location with less light pollution. Visited there to see comet Neowise and milky way at night.
(February 3, 2017, 12:34 am)Unique park, we love to picnic here in the fall. Benches overlooking the water and play equipment is relatively new and safe. The only drawback is the bathroom and parking are across a low traffic road from the park and it is a small narrow waterfront park, but it's nice too.

This 11,000-acre park north of Chelsea has many lakes for swimming, boating, canoeing, and fishing; modern and rustic campgrounds; and trails for hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, cross-country skiing, and birding.

The beach and Blue Heron Bay Spray Park are open from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend during the hours of: Beach: 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Blue Heron Bay: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Weather permitting the beach and spray park may extend spring/fall hours for weekends only - call the park for verification, 734-449-4437.
