“Overall, it’s been fairly positive here. The amenities are nice, especially the gym and tennis courts. The apartment layouts are pretty nice and each one has an outdoor space. I like the unique design of the apartments themselves. Maintenance is usually responsive when there’s a big problem. Our neighbors have been pretty nice too, and most people are good about picking up after their dogs. I like that the staff is on site and open to walk-in or phone call concerns. I’ve lived in another complex where you couldn’t even go inside the clubhouse or get anyone on the phone. On the downside, I think the price increases in rent are very unfair without any actual updates, but that’s happening everywhere… The parking situation is atrocious - not enough spots for the buildings and a covered spot is not included in the price. Expect to park on the street at least a few times per week, because the parking lot is constantly full.”

“I rented a room here in 2016 and rented a top-floor 2bed 1bath between 2019-2020. The cost-to-location ratio is this place's biggest selling point. Far enough away from A2 and Ypsi proper to keep from being slummy, but close enough that a tiny drive can have you at all the best spots around. Biggest problems are noise (zero privacy - you hear everything about your neighbors) and my unit's dated fixtures. I think my unit is one of the last that hasn't been remodeled, and this review would be five stars if I was in one of those. Pros + Can't beat the location - everything you could want (even a nice stretch of nature to the north) is within walking distance. + The current property manager, Laura, is just as friendly and helpful as her predecessor, Sunny. + Rent is too high everywhere in Ann Arbor, but this place is competitive and turnover seems low. + Maintenance people are excellent. I'd a heater leak and they came extremely fast to flush and patch my system. + Utilities: They cover heat. My water and electricity are about $20 - $30 each, though I'll admit that I'm very frugal with use. Either Or > On-site washer and dryer, but they're coin operated and only just received a digital pay app. > Free-for-all parking - never had problems finding a spot but unless you pay extra for a covered place your car will hop around. > Neighborhood: respectful and distant neighbors. Most seems to be low-to-mid tier professionals, transitory families, or UM grad students. You'll get nods and hellos but most everyone keeps to themselves. Cons - The driveways are either "giant potholes everywhere" and "uneven asphalt everywhere." - I can hear literally everything in the apartments around me, even calm conversations. - The fixtures in my apartment are dated and/or strange: large and drafty windows, some outlets in my kitchen don't work, I've two identical overhead dome lights in my kitchen...but nothing for the living room, clapboard cupboards, rusty baseboard heaters, rickety blinds (had one fall off), and for some reason none of my front closets have catches or bolts so they are always slightly open. - Summers are brutal. My top-floor apartment reached 93 degrees, and the wall AC could only get me down to 80s for the front rooms and not the bedroom. Had to buy window tint, box fans, and seals to live.”

“I have been living at Six Trails apartments for 2 years now and must I say: For the price you pay in the city you reside in, Six Trails apartments beats everything around. Some of the amenities in Six trails are a little outdated and sometimes show ware and tear but the reaction time from the front office represents customer service at it's best. I personally had an issue with the garbage disposal and after notifying them of the problem, I came back from work 3 hours later and they had already went in and replaced the garbage disposal as well as the entire drainage system saying it was a little outdated and no resident of theirs is to live like that. They are very accommodating with any concerns you may have, and very knowledgeable when it comes to any questions you may have. The property manager Elizabeth S, now the Regional Manager, has worked with me multiple times with any issues I've came across, answered all of my questions, and has clearly shown her skills in customer service. If you are looking for the right place for the right price, consider residing at Six Trails apartments!!”

Now Jason has provided patient guidance and is always responsive as I get my current house ready for sale, and look for a new house at the same time. “I've been living here for a couple months now, These are the things i like about the community. All of my neighbors are extremely friendly and the location is in a great spot. Its close to all the stores you'll need to live your daily lives. (Target, Walmart, Meijer, Home Depot, Lowes, Restaurants, Fast-food chains, Gas stations) Its also located off of I94and M23 and M23 and Michigan Ave. Which are roads that can take you anywhere. The apartment themselves are good. Some of the things in the apartment was repaired poorly was prep bad. but with some work on my end the place cleaned up real nice. Everything to sign for the apartment is done online and the 2 workers at the front desk replies real quick with in the hour/day. The only downside its pricy where I come from but its due able for the area. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I feel like I could be giving more information with my first day handout about the complex. Like prices for covered parking, the community place time frames. What they offer. Just small things that can improve the community.”

“Good figure skating facility. I go for open skating, it gets too crowded though. Having a limit on the number of skaters at a time will be helpful. Or having adults sessions and family sessions. Skating around kids is dangerous, they are unpredictable, energetic and not always supervised by their parent/adult when on the ice.”
