Flodin Park

The park is peaceful. The neighborhood family and friends who visits are friendly and respectful! Love coming here for a nice walk or just to watch friendly game of basketball.

I love going to this park! Can ride my bike or walk there easily. They ripped the splash pad out this summer (2022). I am not sure why. It broke my heart. I hope Canton puts a new one back in. 🥺

It was a cute little out of the way park with a walking path through a wooded area. There were also tennis courts, basketball courts, soccer fields, and it was very quiet.

Love running on this path! Great park to observe birds, people practicing a sport or walking dogs. Beautiful and peaceful.

The soccer fields are kept in good condition here.

The baseball fields as well.  The ground is hard in spots and watch for soft spots but that’s all part of the game.

Plenty of room for picnicking.  There is no fixed bathroom facility here but often there is a temporary one set up.

There is an entertaining, small water park for the little ones.  Along with this there is a very nice play structure which is in good condition.  Plenty of seating for adults.

There is a connected nature trail beyond the park.  There are two entry points that cross over Flodin Creek.  The area is returning to its natural state.  It is still rough in places.  Grass carp breed in the shallows during late summer.  There are often water fowl here including cranes, herons, geese and various types of ducks.  Plenty of woodland and field birds as well.

There are small mammals in the area but not easy to find.  It is a great place for viewing wildflowers as there is always something in bloom back there.
