“My family and I have been coming to Downriver Clinic PC for many years and have nothing but good things to say about them. Today, I went to Downriver Clinic PC after a failed attempt at Beaumont Medical Center in Southgate where the doctor failed to diagnose me and prescribed unnecessary antibiotics. Frustrated, I went to Downriver Clinic and was seen within 1 hour. The Medical Assistant knew exactly what she was doing, and she explained everything in detail as she did it. Once I was diagnosed, the nurse practitioner explained why she was prescribing certain medications and the instructions that went along with them. She wrote down everything in case I forgot, and made sure that I was well take care of. Detroit Mercy Nurse Practitioners for the win. As a future Detroit Mercy PA student, I will always look to Downriver Clinic for all my medical needs. 10/10 I would recommend!”

“I’ve been there 4 times in less than two weeks. I love the atmosphere, updated and modern since the long renovation. The menu has a nice variety for burgers, salad, dinner and pizza. I like the music in the background and it gives me a relaxed feeling. I’m glad that they have a wood burning oven and we have this option right here on our island!!! We don’t have to leave the island just for a wood burning pizza!!! The food overall has a been great and there is room for improvement here and there. I’ll be there often 😃”

“I was so happy when the store changed to CVS, I love the stores selection of items available. The staff are always friendly and helpful. We haven’t had any issues with our prescriptions for our family of four. On the rare occasion they are out of something or they don’t regularly stock an item they have ordered it for us. If it is something we need urgently they offer to call another store for us.”

“The caregivers treat the residents with the upmost respect. There is a sign in the living room that says “our residents do not live in our workplace, we work in their home!” and that is exactly how it is. The residents have their own personalized rooms and clothing, they can socialize with the other residents or even their family members. With COVID-19, the residents spirits are lifted through activities such as bowling, gardening, bingo, movie night, board games, singing and much more. To this day, there are no cases of COVID-19 for the residents or the staff. Island Pines takes the health and safety of the residents very seriously. The staff prepares fresh meals three times a day with plenty of snacks and beverages which makes the residents feel better. On the residents birthday, a little party is thrown with a cake of their choosing. Every holiday, the house is decorated and a big day of feasting takes place. Island Pines truly is a great place to have your loved ones live. I have worked at Island Pines for a year and I have seen countless efforts to make each resident feel comfortable and unique.”
