“When you eat at the cafeteria you've basically hit rock bottom. And, believe me, it's amazing. I don't understand why people complain about stomach aches, the occasional migraine, or finding hair in their food. Typically, i only eat at the cafeteria food when I really can't be any worse so even if I find a turd hiding in my fries i'd still eat it. I'd probably even eat the pizza if they spit in it because it's just so good even though I would die of explosive diarrhea in the next 24 hours. And it's only for the low price of 5 bucks. I highly recommend the cafeteria lunch to people who their life can't possibly get even worse (until the instant when you actually eat the food). oh yeah, i almost forgot. Its also a really hot date spot.”

“If your kid goes to this preschool, you're going to be involved—and I think that's a good thing. It's a co-op, meaning that there's a paid teacher (who is amazing) but everything else is run by volunteer parents. My wife and I go into the classroom a couple times a month. It's great to see the kids interacting, playing, and learning together! Because of this structure, it's also very affordable, although there is a good amount of fundraising that you'll do, as well. All in all, my son loves preschool. The fact that it's in our neighborhood is an added bonus.”

We were at another daycare and didn't see much structure at all, building wasn't in the best shape, etc. It certainly costs a good deal more at Jackson, but they don't have a ton of random fees like a lot of local daycares, they follow livonia public schools curriculums, and their instructors are so far fantastic. It's only been a few weeks but I've already seen big improvements from our two year old on her language skills and other early learning skills. The kids play a lot (as you want them to at this age, plenty of time to be stuck in a class later), but they also spend some time learning and it's a great mix.”
