“We have all been going to Danny for at least 8 years. He is the ONLY honest mechanic I have met. He will walk you through every sing thing that he did and explain why he did it. He will also call you before he goes through with anything to make sure you approve. Im sure other mechanics may do this, but Danny will give you options. He will tell you the least amount that you can do and how far that will get you if maybe you cant afford the whole thing. He will check out any car that you are looking to purchase as well. He goes far beyond what any other mechanic may do. He and his wife are great people and we wouldnt go anywhere else to service our cars.”

“Scott is a true mechanic that problem solves issues that others can't. His natural mechanical ability will save you time and money by his root cause analysis skills. He is also a high quality honest guy. Addendum: Being a good mechanic keeps a busy schedule for Scott. I attempted to make several appointments and he indirectly refused to schedule me for a car repair by putting me off repeatedly. The last time I called, he flat out refused to schedule me. He must have too much business and is now only serving his long time customers and friends. I still rate him as a 5 star mechanic, but don’t waste his or your time by trying to schedule an appointment.”

“How awesome is it to be able to finish that project the day you started it! Living right across the street from Mazza has made that a possibility many times. They carry a little bit of everything common and what they don't have in stock they are usually able to order and have whithen a couple days. Their staff is always super friendly and helpful, reminds me of a small town gas station but for your auto needs. Some things such as canned Carby spray are marked up a bit more than at "large named' auto stores however they always seem to have the best price on actual auto parts compared to A.Z.,O.R.,A.A.,Ect... Only gripe I can find find is their hours are fairly limited. If your an after-work project starter you'll be out of luck if you find you need something to close that hood so plan ahead and pick up what ya need while their open.”

Joe, Dustin and Trent swooped in like oil tarnished knights in shining armor to prove that not all auto mechanics are created equal. They've been my go-to for auto repair for several projects now, many of which involved cleaning up messes they took no part in creating. They have, time and time again treated me with respect, been open, honest and transparent with any issues, pricing and timelines and have stood behind their work. “My usual oil change place was closed a couple of weekends ago, so I decided to go here. I got my oil and air filter changed, and I got my tire plugged. I was very pleased with their services, so I decided to return again today to get my brake pads changed. I'm not a easy person to deal with because I ask a lot of questions, and sometimes the questions don't make sense. However, they handled me in a professional manner. They even took my back tire off to make me feel that ease about the drums. My car stops good. I am pleased. My husband and I even got some free barbecue on pita bread. We talked about how good it was for a while. The guy said I had to warm it up. Warm it up my ***. It was delicious cold. 10 out of 10.”

“My 2017 Nissan Rogue had been making a steam engine noise, originating from the front left, followed by a deep groan coming from the back right. As a single woman newly relocated to Downriver and as a traveling professional with a non-traditional schedule, it is difficult to coordinate appointments in advance. I called around to several local auto shops, anticipating a day off the following day. I was met with abrupt responses and some denying that i could get my car to be evaluated any earlier than several weeks later. When I called Dan’s Auto Repair, Preston was an immediate source of comfort. His voice warm, caring and he took time to explain potential outcomes and timelines with me in a simplified manner, as I have little expertise with cars. He invited me to bring my vehicle the next morning and was very friendly when I arrived. He called me shortly after I left and gave me a full explanation of the diagnosis and recommendation. He not only shared the details for having my break pads and rotares replaced, he reassured me of the proper condition of all other parts to my car. I felt that, even in my lack of wisdom, I could trust his decisions and advice. Preston and his team had my car ready several hours later and I feel at ease knowing my car operates and sounds smooth and strong. I cannot stress enough how much anxiety I encounter when I know I have to hold my own against car shop staff who can obviously see my despair and delinquent understanding of auto mechanics. But having someone like Preston guide me and communicate with me with such a sense of personalized investment made an outstanding difference for me! “I recently had got a new engine put in my car due to water damage at Shelby Auto repair on 22 mile and Shelby rd . Before I decided to take care car there to get the engine fixed my car was working perfectly. After I received my car back from Shelby Auto repair my radio completely stopped working , my driver and passenger windows wasn’t working , my heat stopped working, my rear camera didn’t work anymore and my brand new battery completely died. After taking it back to Shelby Auto explaining my conditions after their work it was NO Help ! They told me I needed a brand new radio that cost almost 2,500 and none of the new problems my car has wasnt their fault. I felt used and abused my insurance money went down the drain to so greedy low life’s . So I went to David and Amelio and they are a blessing !! Everything the Shelby Auto wouldn’t do David did it with no problem! My car needed a new alternator and as far as the windows and radio they had messed up some wiring ! David and Amelio got my car back working perfectly! They are the best and the also put me on a payment plan because I didn’t have much after Shelby Auto took 2 months to fix my car due to the flood I had to spend ridiculous amount of money in rentals! If your looking for a trustworthy honest reasonable Auto repair David and Amelio is the place to be !”
