“Updated 07/17/2020 The city replaced the playground and cut down a number of trees along the path. It used to be a nice shaded trail with a lot of birds. Now it is full sunshine and the birds are further back into the woods. They did repave a section of trail that was in need of repair. The playground is nice, but the tire swing is missed. The basketball court has been removed and it looks like a small shelter will be installed on its place. The benches are now located in areas that receive full sunshine. Thankfully there is a grassy area to escape the heat in needed. Old review We come to this little park all the time. It's tucked back into a wooded area and has a grassy section to play games, trees that are spaced perfectly for hammocks and the paths hook up into the surrounding neighborhoods. There is even a path that goes under Hanson that connects to other parks nearby. If you come in the early or late portions of the day, you can often find wildlife in the creeks and woods.”

“This Place Is AWESOME! Upon arrival, your greeted by a welcoming/accepting/smiling (you can tell they're smiling by looking at their eyes 😉) faced person just outside the entryway doors. Going just inside these doors, you're shown a hand sanitizing/washing station you'll use before going downstairs to the food pantry. Where another person walks you through the pantry and as they show you available items, you just have to let them know what of which ever items you do and do not want. They'll place all wanted items into those nice and heavy duty plastic grocery bags that remind me of Aldi heavy duty plastic grocery bags. Those bags then go into a shopping cart, the cart goes into the elevator and you're met back upstairs by the doors you initially came in through. Lastly, you just lead the way to your vehicle and your items are placed politely and neatly into whatever designated area you've given the okay for the bags to be placed. I'm THANKFUL & GRATEFUL to have found this Gem! I'm Certain, you...will be too! The VERY BEST PART...I Almost Forgot To Mention, IT DOES NOT MATTER...WHERE YOU ARE COMING FROM, RESIDING, ETC...
