“I would say this is the best food place in Lakeville, and I've eaten at almost all of them. The quality of their food is always amazing. I usually go here as a department lunch with my work team, we have a diverse group that has always enjoyed what they've ordered. I brought my family here and my wife and son were totally blown away with the flavors. My wife loved the chicken stir fry, raved of how it was just what she needed! My son got the grilled 5 cheese and I had the bacon cheddar further with tots. You can tell this food was made with love and from scratch. Also I wasn't sure which beer to have with dinner and was very surprised to be brought out a free small sample of the one I was considering, not many places do that to help you choose! I brought home a tiramisu which was delicious, seriously! The place is wonderfully decorated with aircraft stuff everywhere. Great place for the family as well.”

“Carbone’s is one of my favorite restaurants. This location is much bigger inside than it looks from the outside. The waitstaff is efficient and just polite enough and most of the people that eat here look like James Hetfield from Metallica, which is awesome. You never know what you’ll get from a Carbone’s as far as food goes, but luckily, this location is delicious. I love me some Boneyard thin crust, boy. Mmmm mmm. The only bad thing to say about this Carbone’s is that they were playing high school hockey on every single television when there also happened to be a Timberwolves game on. Really? All the James Hetfields just want to watch children skate around in circles instead of witnessing chiseled, pro athletes competing at the highest level? That’s whack, Jack. Luckily, the food and the overall experience outweigh the poor television choices. Pro tip: before going here, try dressing like other members of Metallica just to see what happens.”

“It had been a while since I have last was able to have chick-fil-a and last Friday 12/23, I drove past around lunch time and was craving a spicy sandwich. I ordered my food as normal and when I got to the window for payment I was asked if I would be able to pay cash today as their credit card system was down. I rarely have any cash in my wallet and this day was no different. When I told the worker no, they informed me that they would take care of it that day, on the house. I fully would have understood and accepted had they turned me away. This kind of generosity was greatly appreciated and I really can’t say thank you enough! I know this time of year can be tough in service industry, but it is so appreciated to be treated like I hope to treat others with kindness. Service like this is unbeatable and so appreciated in these times. I was having a bad day at at work and stressed out over holidays. “I had an amazing experience at the Burnsville, MN Lunds & Byerlys. While on my way home from work, and in preparation for an evening dinner guest, I stopped and picked up several bags of groceries. Once home and after the grill was fired up, I noticed that the meat that I just purchased did not make it home. I had used the drive-thru pickup. A quick look in my car revealed that one numbered pickup card was still laying there. Byerlys DROVE to my home and hand delivered the missing groceries in time to serve the meal - a good half hour drive for them! And they added in a few grocery surprises. What fantastic customer service! If only everyone handled a simply human mistake with such integrity and speed! The meat department is exceptional. I count on them for freshness and flavor. If you get a chance to know the staff, they are quick with tips and often have suggestions on how to prepare your main dish. They also have their own line of seasonings that complement fish, beef, chicken, and lamb. The variety available for fish, which I love, fits almost and taste bud. Their cheese selection is fantastic; I buy 3-4 varieties every week and have been able to get what I need for most any recipe. The desserts and pastries are really stand-out. I’ve bought the Chocolate Raspberry Mascarpone in a least four locations across the Twin Cities. They likely all use the same recipe, but consistently, the bakery department at the Burnsville location makes them the very best! They sell several brand items that otherwise I am running several place to catch. One favorite that comes to mind are the La Perruche Br Sugar Cubes and Mexican Coke in glass bottles. Out of all few places that I have shopped during COVID-19, I think they have done the best job of keeping a distance between shoppers at checkout, washing things down, and having all the staff wear masks. Most of all, the customer service is second to none!”

“We’ve lived in Eagan 15 years and only just discovered Hovies. Best diner we’ve found in all of the Twin Cities metro area and I can’t believe it’s in our town! First off, the service wasn’t just good, it was exceptional-the woman who served us was warm and welcoming. And the food! The omelette was stuffed with cheese. It was piping hot and the toast came out warm, too, with butter covering the toast (I hate cold toast with a squirt of liquid fat). The breakfast potatoes were fresh, perfectly crispy, and notable for the lack of rancid fat after taste that so many diners have on their potatoes. Also, the diner was CLEAN!! It was old, charming, but-and I can’t stress this enough-clean. The floor wasn’t sticky or slippery. The old sports memorabilia and pictures on the wall weren’t dusty or grimy. The condiments weren’t scummy. The salt and pepper shakers sparkled. And the bathroom, while also old, was very, very clean. Our new favorite Saturday morning outing!”
