“Their ginormous apple danish is my favorite treat to get here(!), but this time I also picked out a apple turnover too. Both were absolutely delicious and had lots of apple slices/chunks in them. Very clean and neat store. The only critique I’d have is I wish they always had labels for every baked good that is set out in the area where they put the cookies and sweet rolls etc. Often times (like the most recent time I visited) it’s kind of a mystery or there’s no label at all for most items that I can see. It’s just a quick convenience thing though. Looking forward to trying their quiche another time too!”

“The best part of this park is the diversity of people that come here. It is so amazing. Such a friendly place to visit. A friendly park and so very enjoyable to see and talk to people or to walk quietly with your headset on. Plenty of parking both paid and free. Clean and hopefully the food service facility will open soon. Rentals of boats, bikes and other equipment makes the lake so accessible for exploring.”

I can see why they've won awards for their donuts. That and a hot cup of coffee with cream... the perfect combination. ☕🍩”

“I was told about Nokomis Service through a mutual friend. My Honda Civic had an oil leak and I wanted to give Nokomis a try! Initially, the owner Joe took a look and determined that it might be a bigger problem than he was willing to take on. I appreciated his honesty with this situation. However, he did feel guilty for not being much use in helping to fix this issue. He said if he could find extra time and get some extra help, he would get in touch with me. Well, those things happened and i brought my Civic back to him. After a day, my Civic was fixed and at a good price. I'm happy to say that i enjoyed working with Joe here (he's really great) and his honesty. He could have gone on a wild goose chase with my vehicle but didn't. He's really a diamond in the rough and I would highly recommend him! He'll tell you like it is and won't take you for a repair ride! Thank you for your work, Nokomis Service!”

“Food is A+ from the two dishes we got (Mac and Cheese called Beautiful Disaster) and a Foghorn Leghorn, both really tasty! Dining room is fairly compact, I believe the owner was sitting at a front table, and was very personable and easy to talk to - Along with another local patron joining the conversation. Great food, great company, parking is off street but I'd highly recommend stopping in for a unique but amazingly good bite to eat! (They also do food trucks around the cities and catering, definitely will be keeping an eye out for their truck!)”

“Both of my children attended Mandala and loved their time there. The teachers are attentive and caring, and encourage independent skills - like learning how to clean up your own spills, which has made home life much easier! Their classroom materials are made of high quality, environmentally-friendly products, like wooden puzzles and blocks. The curriculum emphasizes global and local diversity, compassion, mindfulness and prepares children very well for kindergarten. I especially love the emphasis on yoga, music and real-life storybooks. Best of all, they genuinely care about the students, even holding a graduation celebration to recognize their accomplishments. They send kids forward with a strong, caring foundation. My children benefited tremendously from their time at Mandala and the staff. We're so grateful!”
