“I can assure you, if you hire Silas from Van Horn Construction to manage your project you will have nothing to worry about. My insurance company had sent a letter denying my roof. I was referred to Silas who worked tirelessly to attempt to overturn their decision and at the same time kept my insurance agent and myself in the loop with continual updates. Months later he was successful in overturning their original decision. Once the roof was scheduled, Silas was on-site making sure my home was protected and coordinating the crew. I was shown photos of before and after of the work done and couldn’t have asked for a smoother experience. Silas's very strong work ethic, excellent knowledge of his business, amazing patience with his client and the insurance company throughout the process, and great customer service was remarkable. “I have always been treated with respect and nonjudgmental feelings. I know the staff worked hard and were totally under paid but they tried hard to meet clients needs. I applaud Al and all the others. What’s going on now? They had employees committed to help the clients but were not compensated for their hard work and dedication to help the clients. So there is a new management and it has caused problems. Corporations are the killer to small companies. I know because I have seen it in my career. Their VM says they are closed because of staff shortage.”

“My dad recently passed away but lived here the last several years of his life. I live out of state but when I visited he told me he was very happy and well taken care of at Mission. He mentioned he once considered transferring to another facility after a disagreement with administration (he didn't like one of the rules) but said he realized this was the best place for him, apologized and decided to stay. The staff was very kind, compassionate, and helpful especially after dad's death. My brother and I could tell they really cared. My only suggestion would be streamlining the process for gathering deceased residents' property. Otherwise, I highly recommend this facility.”

“The park is fun. The beach area is nice but the swimming spot is very weedy. My kids weren't really loving that part of it. I liked the fact that there was a ton of seating around. It made it easy for me to work while my kids played and still be able to keep an eye on them. Parking was very close which was perfect for hauling kids and swimming gear. We would return for the park but probably not choose it for a beach to swim at.”
