Twin cities Gem! Nearly 500ft of elevation gain, a Great Lake walk-around! Quiet and away from freeway noise.
Loved this place! Went with my dog (on leash allowed) and loved the old growth forest, quaint trails, and wild turkeys. The old glacier lake is beautiful and it’s a wonderful little place to get away for a bit. Few places to sit, so be ready to be on your feet while you take in the scenery.
Beautiful gem hidden in wayzata! Pleasant spot to visit for a big hike or quick walk
Thus is such a lovely hidden gem I almost didn't want to review it because I don't want everyone knowing about it 😂 beautiful old trees, an old ash swamp with lovely yellow flowers in the spring. This will definitely be a regular hiking spot for our family moving forward. It is perfect for our 9 and almost 3 year old to explore nature and run the trails.
This is our little gem in the city to walk. It is so beautiful and serene. You feel like you are out in the country. There are so many places to walk you can easily avoid other people or social distance when you cross paths with other nature lovers. Very dog friendly as well. Very hilly but not horrible hills to climb. The trails are not paved so it can be muddy, so wear appropriate shoes. Very quiet and peaceful place to hike and relax while looking at the trees, small lakes, ponds, and animals.
