“Before the procedures I had very bad pain in my hip and knee joints. The pains were so strong that I could not go down or up the stairs because my legs would not bend. At night my hip joints ached. My doctors told me that the only way out was surgery. Dr. Starchook offered me a less drastic option — adding stem cells to the problem sites. I agreed gladly. I received two first shots in November 2017 (one to the knee and the second to the hip). After a week the pain improved and I began to walk more easily and was more mobile than before the procedure. A month later in December I received two more shots in my hip and knee as well. A month after the second procedures, the acute pain was gone, but I still could not move quickly. I felt a full recovery only after three months. Last summer, I worked very hard physically, carrying heavy loads while gardening without any problems. This is the second year and I feel like I was born again. I lost weight, feel younger, even look younger than my peers. “Dr. Arendt has been amazing. I have been going from doctor to doctor without any answers to why both of my legs hurt. No one believed me that both my legs could hurt like hell. They assumed sciatica, depression, RLS, etc. No one did imaging except on my knees which didn't show the big picture. She did full extremity CTs the same day I saw her, as well as PT the same day. Everything was very efficient. We found that I had extensive tibial torsion in both legs along with patella alta so she consulted Dr. Pena on my case who derotated both my legs, and she moved my patella down where it should be. I first saw her in October and had both my legs finished surgery wise before the end of the year because she knew I was worried money. She has been so kind, couldn't ask for better. She is extremely intelligent. You can tell she is thinking hard her entire visit, so don't think she is disinterested in you. Cannot express my gratitude more.”
