A beautiful lake side park right off of the highway! Paid parking, swimming beaches, bathrooms & outdoor shower available. Plenty of tree coverage & a few different playgrounds. Great place for a dog walk, picnic, outdoor event or some water vehicle fun! I didn't see anyone fishing, probably because the lake was so busy with jet skis & speed boats.
One of the gems of Big Lake - a beautiful park with a playground, swimming beach, boat launch, fishing pier, volleyball pit, skate park, picnic grills and shelters - and Freedom Rock is here too! Beautiful shady grounds and sunny areas.
Farmers Market every Wednesday and Music in the Park Thursdays during the summer months. Movie in the Park(ing lot) twice per summer. Free parking for those events, plus food trucks and more.
And Floaters has kayak and paddleboard rentals available, plus tandem bicycle rentals.
Loved the July 4th Beach atmosphere. Yes it was packed, yes it was LOUD. BUT it was FUN!
Music in the park every Thursday in the summer. Along with a small car show, with friendly people to hang out with. On that night there is also a few food trucks. Wednesday afternoons June through September? There is a farmers market. Parking is free during those events. However, usually, there is a fee. They have a nice beach, but no lifeguard. There is also a boat launch, which also requires a fee.
Picnic area, some are under a covered shelter. Grills also available. Nice playground for the kiddos. Lots of shady spots. Modern bathrooms. Not pet friendly.
Nice beaches and great shade trees to get out of the sun. You pay 5.00 per car but it's worth it.
