Absolutely incredible spot for engagement photos or family photos! This park has several amazing spots for photos! It’s also a stunning place to go for a run, fish in the river or take your kids to play! Definitely one of my new favorite places!
Very enjoyable lively community, many photography opportunities, well kept paved trails, and a very extensive disk golf course. And of course easy access to the Mississippi river, with a playground overlooking the river.
Hidden gem of a park that is incredible for photos! I photographed a high school senior here last summer and was delighted with the lines of trees as you enter the park. There were probably 3 or 4 other shoots happening at the same time, but there's lots of room so it doesn't feel too crowded. Parking isn't obvious but the road is wide enough to find a spot relatively easily, even if it's not designated for parking.
Absolutely gorgeous AND accessible park. I've loved bringing clients here over the years - in EVERY season. Parking can be a little tough on busier holiday weekends in particular... but other than that, super easy to navigate and enjoy. Bring your bug spray in the summer time, as you would any NATURE location in Minnesota. :) *** NOTE, these photos include pups who are ALWAYS on-leash, we simply edit the leashes out of our photos. I encourage everyone visiting this park to also keep their pups on leash for the safety of everyone's pups all throughout the park.
Montissippi Regional Park was fun. The girls and I saw a deer as we walked the trails, see photo. This was an active park that had a disc golf course and a boating dock. I was even able to put my feet into the Mississippi River.
