“This lake being for non-motorized watercraft is a big perk for me. The lake was pretty and still when I went, and the park seemed expansive and in fairly good shape. If you are planning to launch a boat, this is the spot you need to enter into your maps- for now, anyways; edit pending- as entering “Powers Lake” will probably take you a spot in the suburbs around the lake”

“The yurts are cool. Especially during the winter months. During the colder months, there aren’t many people down here. The solitude is really peaceful. And there’s a safe cozy feeling and Afton State Park and the yurts— plenty of firewood to keep the yurt warm and cozy. And, the Park Rangers and the entire staff who work at Afton State Park are really fantastic. Very friendly. Very accommodating. And helpful in so many ways. They keep the park looking beautiful. I’ve been coming to Afton state park my whole life. And it’s never been better.”

“Nice park in the neighborhood. Have a playground, basketball court, picnic table. A good place just to chill and hangout with friends.”
Address: 2230 Woodcrest Dr, Woodbury, MN 55129, USA
“Its a fun place. The playground for younger kids is fun, the baseball field and large field behind it is almost always open to the public, except for when local baseball and football games are being played. The field is mowed frequently. The grass however isn't very green as it is only watered when it rains. Other than that, its a great place!”

“New playground with some cool older equipment too! My kids had a great time 🙌”

“Super fun place to take your dog for some free roaming exercise! There are tennis balls, rackets, and dog bowls for people and their pups to use freely! Plenty of fun people to meet and cool dogs to see! There's even an agility course you can train your dog in! I just wish there was some hand sanitizer though.”

“A gorgeous and inexpensive version of the U of MN Aboretum. I enjoy walking through it about every 6 weeks.”
Address: 7500 Langley Ave S, Cottage Grove, MN 55016, USA
“A nice open and quiet neighborhood park that all kids, and animals are welcome. Everyone in old cottage Grove is welcoming to animals and kids. The drivers from games being played there are a bit agressive because they drink at their kids T-ball games, but otherwise a great little local park.”
Address: 15450 Square Lake Trail N, Stillwater, MN 55082, USA
“Clean lake but it gets sketchy if you want to swim in it. The mud is deep and not worth walking in the middle to get to the deeper parts.”
Address: 7380 Ideal Ave S, Cottage Grove, MN 55016, USA
“Great splash pad for the children, the park also has 2 playgounds as well as walking paths and a relaxing island to sit and relax if your children will allow it. Would highly recommend and will continue to return.”

“I had a great visit today to view my tree at Better Place Forest in Marine on St Croix,Mn. I was met at the visitor station by Tori who offered me water & mosquito spray before we took a ride in a very comfortable safe vehicle through the forest on marked paths down toward the lake. Using the new maps that are available & coordinates we located my tree.Such a beautiful maple with a great canopy. I had a very nice experience today. I’m very happy with my choice of final resting places.”

“A great neighborhood park, we love having it down the street! Kids love to go there. I would recommend perhaps a recycling receptacle and maybe a second trash receptacle? That would help curb the trash overflow during summer months!”

“This is a solid state park for beautiful scenery around Lake Alice. People come here to camp, to canoe, to swim, to fish, and to hike. There is something for everyone to do. Besides, the view from the end of a trail around the lake is gorgeous. The Cascade Falls is also very closeby, so make sure you check it out at the same time when you are around the area.”
Address: 450 Apple Orchard Rd, White Bear Lake, MN 55110, USA
“The park adjoins the Pine Tree Apple Orchard and has a corn maze in the fall, poney rides, and a small picnic area. It is a fun place for the family to visit when you come to the apple orchards.”

“Great park in Woodbury! Lots of space to play for the kids. Big kid and little kid play areas.”
Address: 5421 N Osgood Ave, Oak Park Heights, MN 55082, USA
“Nice picnic shelter which you can reserve through submitting a firm to Oak Park Heights city government (check their website.) Only downside is that the shelter lights come on (presumably) by timer. On a cloudy and rainy day the shelter was pretty dark inside. Other than that, nice playgrounds and an interesting view coming down the hill towards the river with the prison right across the road.”

Address: 8095 Boulder Ridge Rd, Woodbury, MN 55125, USA
“A hidden gem, but a gem in the rough. There's a children's play area, mowed grass, and three paths in. That's it. There are no amenities. There's no porta-potty, no parking lot, no extensive trail system, no water fountain, I couldn't even find a sign containing the name of the park. It does border back yards, so there's little chance of children running out into the streets. The surrounding streets are a low traffic neighborhood. It is a pleasant park, and enjoyable to be in.”
