“I ordered a set of ski bindings; I was told they would ship within a week. A month passed, no word. I tried calling multiple times, they hung up on me after 20 minutes on hold each time. I emailed, no response for literally 3 months. And that response was to inform me that the bindings were out of stock. Mostly frustrated with the lack of communication here- I always understand if it takes longer to ship, it’s just nice to know the status of the order. Edit: change from one star to five. I had the above scenario happen to me. After leaving the review, William from The House reached out wondering if he could help in any way. I had previously gotten myself ski bindings elsewhere so I didn’t need anything. However he sent me a VERY generous gift card to redeem at The House. They managed the problem very well and made sure to change my mind about them! Excited to purchase something with the gift card! Thanks again! Edit 2: I ordered Marmot Featherless Hoody Jacket a couple weeks ago. I since received a promotional email about a sale on that jacket (with a lower price). I reached out to William to inquire about any chance of me getting the newer, cheaper price. He VERY promptly got back to me, offering me the lower price. Seriously so unexpected but appreciated. “This is one of the easiest 5 stars I will give. Freewheel Bike, specifically the Richfield location, has been outstanding in their service even during the busiest time of their shop's history. I needed my bike to be re-cabled and tires setup tubeless in a rapid turnaround, and they stayed an hour after close to work on my bike. Even better, they did it with a smile and let me hang around until finished. Tom Lais, one of the shop employees, conversed with me about stories and lessons regarding bikes, adventure, and life. I felt welcomed and valued as a customer. I will be returning to this shop for my bike needs from now on. As someone who has been to 10+ shops in the Twin Cities, this has been my favorite! Mitch, the golf guy, was courteous, professional, and helpful in making sure I got the best possible deal, and gave me a reasonable expectation of the time it would take--which he eventually surpassed. Mike, the cashier, was awesome, and caught a mistake we made during the checkout process and tracked me down in the store to let me know he rectified it. When I came in close to closing time, the staff made it easy, and I was in and out in under 2 minutes. Additionally, everyone's steadfastness to social distancing in the time of COVID was appreciated.”
