“We went to salt pepper oak for lunch. There was a line of people waiting which is always a good sign, especially for a new restaurant.. luckily the line moved very quickly and we enjoyed watching the fun atmosphere and friendly staff while we decided what to order. We got a 2-meat tray (brisket and pork belly burnt ends) and a 1-meat tray (pork spare ribs), and with each Mac n cheese and slaw as sides. The meats were all EXCELLENT- moist, smoky, so simple but soooooo flavorful. It was hard to choose a favorite but the burnt ends, especially with the peach glaze, were absolute stand outs. The meats came with tangy pickled cucumbers and onions on the side which were a great addition to cut through the richness of the meat. The sides were good, but perhaps needed a little more seasoning, or punch of flavor. But they got the job done and honestly the meat is what we came for- and it delivered. We plan on coming back over and over again. Great staff, fun atmosphere and excellent bbq- try it out!!”

“Erica was the best, most helpful and friendliest server while visiting for the first time! She answered all of our questions and helped us pick out things we would like to try. Being newer to this area of Mississippi, I’m so glad we came out to try this establishment. I strongly recommend the Oysters and the 3 Way Broil. You can mix and match your seasoning/flavors for the oysters which is great, and they have something for everyone no matter the particular palate. Definitely will be back!”

“We had 80 wings all seasoned or spicy seasoned with some hot Buffalo sauce on the side and I must say they were some of the best wings we have had in a while. They were fried to perfection and seasoned just right. We got fries to go along with them and asked for them to be fried extra krispy and I would have called them extra krispy. Man wings are high priced now is all I can say about the price we paid but we did get a good product. I woukd definitely recommend Queenz Wings!”

“I've only been there twice, but I have enjoyed my two experiences there. The staff is very friendly and attentive to the people's needs as they serve them. However I do believe they should put more fish in the $11 plate because there are only four small pieces in there. I'm sure they could afford to give you a couple of more pieces because they ARE small. I ordered the all you can eat and when they first bring out the fish, there are some decent little chunks in there. The second go around it's like they give you the Tails of the fish and it's mostly crust. I had to ask for chunkier fish. I also had to sneak a couple of pieces to my spouse because all she got on her $11 plate was 4 tiny pieces.”

So, I will update a little over six weeks, and I am back. Tonight had the 16oz rib eye house salad and for appetizer the bayou bread. Everything was excellent and flavored perfectly. The salad was definitely fresh, and the bayou bread was a delightful surprise. Again, the server was spot on and attentive. Definitely a place to come to for a great meal.”

“Wow - super delicious Shrimp Tacos and a delicious medium sized Strawberry Margarita! (with a good portion of alcohol - more than I needed!). “Hosted our wedding rehearsal here. The staff were SO friendly and accommodating for the whole evening. We needed a few extra minutes to enjoy the pizza, and they graciously allowed us to stay, reassuring that they would stay as long as we needed. I was am not much on traditional breakfast foods, though splurged and had a waffle as a late night desert. I will say the place was clean and the staff was most friendly. “A bit off the beaten path, just north of Dolly's Gas on 603 in Kiln. Thankfully they have a sign on the right of the road by their building, we passed right by it the 1 st so keep an eye out. Comfy, homey interior; nice, friendly staff; the regular food options along with some good, creative options like Patton Hot Sausage Benedicts. The sausage gravy and biscuits was a big hit as were the hashbrowns. The waffles and pancakes quickly disappeared as well. I'd like to return for lunch when we're in the area.”

“I got the jumbo (24 oz) gold margarita, which didn’t disappoint! Great flavor and a nice kick of alcohol. SO and I split the parrillada Mexicans for two, and it was SO much food! We had to pay $1.50 for extra tortillas, bcuz the entree definitely doesn’t come with enough for two. The beef,shrimp, chicken, pork and chorizo all had good flavor, but the shrimp was def the best. The entree came with two separate plates of rice, beans and toppings. Some of the rice was crunchy, but it all had good flavor. The pork came in large chunks that should’ve been cut down a bit, and the chips needed more salt. The salsa was just okay.”

“Very great and tasty food from the fried chicken, to the baked beans, and mac n cheese... my belly left full and happy! The fried green tomatoes were really good and so were the chicken tenders, although the chicken tenders aren’t as tasty as their fried chicken. The prices were reasonable and the amount of food they give you is plenty. We will come back again the next time we visit town, this place is definitely a must try!”
