“Beautifully decorated cottage! Absolutely spotless! The beds were very comfortable. Two of my girlfriends from high school flew in for three nights and we totally enjoyed our girl-time visiting Excelsior Springs. Would highly recommend Willow Springs Mercantile's downstairs restaurant/bistro, Ventana Gourmet Grill and the Dubious Claims Brewing Company. We also went to The Elms for their Ghost Tour! Thank you Sunnyside Cottage for providing the perfect accommodations for our mini-50-year reunion!”

“Sand Vista is a true GEM in a wonderful area! We visited for the first time recently and were amazed at the location, hospitality, friendliness and unique vibes it had to offer. The staff was incredible, we had more than enough of everything stocked and ready in our room upon arrival and extra options, such as beach chairs, were abundant. The layout is fun, the pool and social area were great, the people are wonderful and the room was perfect for a weekend stay! We are already planning a trip back! We highly recommend a stay here if you are looking for a relaxing atmosphere close to the beach, restaurants and shopping.”

“We loved everything about this place. We stayed in the Caribbean room, and it felt brand new. The bathroom was amazing - nice finishes and a huge shower. The owner made herself available 24/7 for any issues that might come up, but everything was perfect. The breakfast was really good too. Most importantly, we were within walking distance of all the downtown attractions and restaurants. We won't stay anywhere else again!”

“We had a good stay. Our Room was nice and clean. The memory foam mattress was very comfortable. We ate dinner at the 88 and enjoyed it. We sat in the Tavern and had a beverage. The indoor pool and Jacuzzi is amazing. We did a paranormal tour with Jay which was probably the best part Jay did a good job.”

“This was a really lovely anniversary weekend location. We were married in January so, unfortunately, we didn't get to experience all of the fun looking outdoor experiences. We had the Tuscany room which is a pool house converted into a suite. We really enjoyed being away from the main house and other guests. The downside to that was having to go to the mansion for anything we needed. They keep a fridge stocked with snack and drinks. We only had two very small glasses in the room which we didn't realize until we had already made a trip to the mansion where there are plastic cups. We did have our own little fridge in the room where we could put extra drinks so we didn't have to keep going back up. In warmer weather this probably wouldn't have been a big deal but this weekend the wind chill was 1°. We didn't go to breakfast but the mansion smelled amazing when we checked out. I'm not sure we would have liked the room right next to the pool in the summer with other guests in and out of the area but it was perfect this weekend.”
