“Great little RV park. Location is near shopping, and the stadiums where the Royals and Chiefs play. Only a 15 minute drive to downtown Kansas City and 20 minutes to the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art and the Country Club Plaza. The owner is very hands on and helpful. He did all of the hookups and set me up for surviving a KC winter. This is a great space for those who need a space for short term (3 to 6 months) or longer. I have even seen a few overnights come through, but I would think you would rather stay at the Walmart up the road. I have a 24' Motorhome, but I see many travel trailers and big 5th wheels. All spots are back up, no drive throughs and there is a spot to park your auto.”

“I had an issue with the refrigerator however I was pleasantly surprised at the speed at which the maintenance man came to rectify that. They literally came in and swapped out the whole refrigerator for entirely different one and a little after 11:00 p.m. at that.”

“What else can you expect from a Marriott property other than absolute beauty and perfection. Residence Inn implies or suggests a longer term stay than what a usual hotel booking would see, and wow are these places equipped for that! The in room refrigerator is a shorter version of the full-size you have in your kitchen at home, but I would venture to say three times larger than one of those "mini fridges" you had in your college dorm room. There are 2 stove top burners which are glass topped. There is a powerful microwave above the stove, a 2 basin sink along with a full size dishwasher. All of the appliances are brand new or new enough to make one think they are brand new. The office/dining/living room area features a high-top table and 2 tall chairs, a business area with large table top desk space, and a full size couch complete with end tables even. The bedroom is a separate room with a locking door. The bed is HEAVENLY, probably the best sleep I've had in over a decade....no_joke! The vanity is single sink where there is another door into the shower/tub and toilet area. I would absolutely recommend staying if you have the means and quality is Important. I WILL be coming back.”

“I rented a 3bdrm 2 full bath duplex from queen city kitchenettes for $650 a month. I really enjoyed living there and the area was great. Brenda that works in the office is wonderful. She is compassionate and very easy to get along with. I would have stayed but I needed a bigger place. They do have other properties that you can rent. I give this place 2 thumbs up.”

“For my 30th birthday, a small group of friends and I rented out the main house plus the beach cottage. I noticed they did Murder Mysteries and I asked if they'd be willing to host one for our small group. Melanie (and team) were VERY accommodating and hosted the perfect evening for us. She even went out of her way to make a wonderfully delicious dessert. Everybody had a great time! Plus, breakfast was divine!”

“The amenities include a hot tub, pool, game room, laundry room (free laundry just bring soap and dryer sheets!), a gym, pet bags for picking up poo, and a nice trail right behind the hotel. There is also an outdoor grilling area with picnic table and a bar I think. This hotel is nearly brand new. The complimentary shampoo, lotion, conditioner, and body wash are all amazing! Also the staff is beyond kind. They are knowledgeable and helpful to the greatest extent. We feel so welcome to be here. The only thing I have to say about the room is that the sink in the kitchen needs to be handled gently. It doesn't take much for the water to shoot out, so be ready. With that being said, the faucet for the tub is the complete opposite. It's just weak and doesn't get "hot". There are a few sensible items stocked in the kitchen to help with cleaning and such. No wine glasses! Though the landing cupboard might have a wine bottle opener as they have a selection of things to "rent". There is also a small pantry to purchase food and drinks from. We'll be back next time we're in Independence for certain!”

“The hotel decor is really nice very rustic yet chic. The customer service was excellent. From check-in to check-out, I was greeted with a smile and was in and out with no problems. Our room was very spacious and the bed was comfortable. We even had a nice not on our mirror from housekeeping. Breakfast was decent. Will definitely stay here again when in town.”

“I've lived in the park for a little over two years. The management is strict but no stricter than any apartment complex I've lived at. Their rules and regulations are there for a reason though. People think just because it's a trailer park that they can act however they want, well in my opinion this is not a "trailer park" thanks to the management it's a mobile home community with several amenities that many apartment complexes don't even have while still being able to have a "home" with a yard at the most reasonable price in the city. If you just go and talk to the management they really are there to help you as long as your honest with them.. they are understanding and give you adequate time to fix any issues they have with your property and offer solutions to help you.. highland manor gave me a chance to start over so that I can support myself and have a nice place to call home when no other renters would. Excited for many more years to be a part of this mobile home community.”

“You know what you are getting here - no frills or anything that'd add expense. Bed was clean and OK for a night. Shower temp easily adjustable with good water pressure, plenty of towels, OJ and apple juice in the morning. Looks like recent remodeling was done, tile floors throughout room.”

“Check in was quick, everyone was friendly, comfortable, peaceful, quiet. The attendant for the breakfast was very attentive of all patrons working the tables like a true waitress asking if anyone needed anything, clearing plates. Having conversation as well. Most attendant at breakfast just hide in a corner until they have to put out more food. Just a great experiene.”
