(December 16, 2018, 11:57 am)I'm always amazed that the beauty of swope Park. I love these huge Park set in the center of these large cities, not many cities had this much for thought over a hundred years ago to save a large area like this for an open Park. The zoo here is amazing, The starlight theater is amazing, and all the pavilions that they have for used by the public are really need to look at. Always a nice experience to come here.
(October 13, 2018, 5:43 pm)Great events here. I'm currently at the Open Spaces art festival which is full of local artists and performers, along with delicious food trucks and unique handmade goods.
(August 21, 2018, 6:38 pm)Great place to ride your mountain bike. I moved here from Utah and worried about good mountain biking trails. Swope Park gave me the thrill I needed.
(August 21, 2018, 12:04 am)I went to the Kansas City Ethnic Festival on a Saturday of the full, weekend of the full weekend of fun/festivities/etc. Saturday was sunny and it was pretty packed with people, in general.
Sunday, in contrast, was rainy and I wondered if the crowd was affected by the weather that particular day. :(
Swope Park is also the location of the Kansas City Zoo, as well as Starlight Amphitheater. When I was there on Friday, the traffic was so bad that I and my friend chose to go to the Saturday version of the Ethnic Festival in K.C. :)
