“This is not your typical roadside cafe. More of a upscale cafe with great food and bar service. Staff is friendly with good customer service, food is always great with many options from soup and salad to home style cooking, and atmosphere is great. I highly recommend. “We are senior citizens and have a difficult time finding a restaurant where we can hear each other talk. But we have finally found such a place! Stories' atmosphere is quiet, the food is excellent, and the service has always been top notch! They can't advertise because they're a non-profit, so I'm trying to get the word out. We took a group of 16 there for a Christmas get together and they were kind enough to put us in a separate room so we could all sit together. It was great!! AND QUIET!! If you get the chance, give them a try. Located in the new The Meadows apartment complex on O'Brien off Pryor.”

“Such great service! I came in Wednesday to dine in. They were in the process of rebooting computers when I placed my order. Usually it takes less than 10 minutes to get food. I waited about 20 minutes because I was in no rush. I went and asked about how much longer. They answer my questions quickly and professionally. My order did not make it back to the kitchen due to the computers, but they paid for my meal. Instead of getting the half and half on my meal, they gave me full size orders so I had lunch and dinner! They got it out to me fast and exactly as I had ordered it! (I’m a bit picky on how I like my things) always a good experience at the Lee’s Summit McAllister’s!”

This is a gimmick, but a pretty cool gimmick. The pricing is simple, just 5.99 for a decent sized ice cream with mixins and toppings. It was good, but not out of this world good. I was most disappointed by the fact they have no kids size”

“Best subdivision in LS. Fishing, kayaking, boating, walking or cycling pick your poison. Multiple pools to choose from as well The HOA even blows off the dedicated bike paths that are on the roadway each week. I have yet to encounter any staff that wasn't friendly or not willing to help. Little known fact only subdivision that has 24 hr 7 day a week security patrol in Lee's Summit that is not aged restricted.”
