“I good find just off highway 61. Country cooking with steaks, sandwiches, salads etc. full bar with decent price on alcohol. The Philly was not like any that I’ve had. Nice thick slices of ribeye, full of onions, peppers, cheese on a soft, sweet like a hamburger bun. Everyone liked their meals I neglected to get pictures. Good service from our server and several staff came to clear off plates as we were finishing appetizers and the meal. Last but certainly not least the Cheesecake was amazing, light and delicious. The server said is was not homemade but certainly was as good of not better than homemade.”

“Wonderful Soda Fountain / Ice Cream Shop / Restaurant / Florist Shop in the heart of downtown Elsberry. I ordered a Rachel with a Coca-Cola Phosphate for lunch, both were delicious. Service was excellent. Atmosphere and decor are nostalgic. They even have a couple pinball machines in back. Great local treasure and perfect venue for grabbing a tasty bite to eat, or old fashioned malt, shake, or soda float.”

“We had spent our day eagle watching and walking some of the trails in the area and really getting hungry. This restaurant showed up on Google and we were driving right by so we stopped. So glad we did! Our meal was excellent as was the service! Since we go eagle watching most years this just might become part of our yearly tradition. We would certainly come back again!”

“We have ordered their amazing tamales to take home an freeze for holidays or events. But this was the first time we dined in. We had the shrimp tacos, mushroom taco and a brisket taco with the sides of pinto beans and macaroni and cheese. They were nearly out of pinto beans(which the little serving container was nearly full still) but they said since it wasn’t a full order, they gave us the baked beans for free. The baked beans were some of the best I’d ever eaten!!! The food wasn’t very hot, I’m sure it was because they were nearly closing and they keep some of the sides in roasting appliances, which likely get turned off a bit before closing. Understandable. Anyway, these tacos are the kind you crave! I wanted more even two hours later, and the next day! We will absolutely be back!!!”
