Beautiful Park with good Hiking and Mountain Bike trails and some amazing lookoutsn!
This place is truly beautiful! I can't believe I haven't been here before. If I had known about this place, I would definitely visit it every day. It's so peaceful here! The white sand around the lake in Klondike Park adds to its charm.
Awesome park with trails and tons of campsites. Dog friendly. Many varieties including primitive, RV, walk ins, sites with posts for hammocks, and more. There are various camping amenities like a camp kitchen, bathrooms, showers, compost toilets, playgrounds, and others. The park has a pretty waterfront area and you can fish. There are scenic bluff overlooks. There's a meeting facility you can rent. Something for everyone. And it's close to several charming small towns and wineries.
Klondike Park has amazing views and incredible scenery! The white sand is super cool and the stunning photographs you can take here are absolutely gorgeous. We highly recommend you go there soon!

This is a very cool and unusual park. There is a very small lake that has a white sand beach partially around it.
Visitors can rent a kayak and use it on the lake. No type of motorized boat is allowed.
There is a small lake loop that you can walk or ride a bicycle on. We did not find a system of trails, but there is access to the Katy trail.
There is a cool contemporary building that used to be a private home which now houses a art center that offers classes and puts on art shows. There is also a small shop inside this building
On the northern end of the park there is a boat ramp and launch that access is the river.
The story of the park is quite amazing, a private party dedicated 45 acres to become a park and the state purchased their home in 2003.
If you are a bicyclist, you can enter the park from the Katy Trail or go to the park and ride a section of the trail either two Augusta or defiance.
My rating would have been five stars if there were more bike trails inside the park, and if there would have been a place for food and drink - which surely could be accommodated in the art center.
Definitely worth a visit !
