“I have lived here for over 20 years. Sometimes you have difficulties with neighbors like any neighborhood. The best part of living here is the current manager Perla! She is very caring and does her job extremely well!!! Very friendly and the best manager I have had in this neighborhood. She addresses concerns timely and if she doesn't have an answer she finds one for you! Excellent manager!”

“The bathrooms are gorgeous with beautiful wood stalls and the shower was nice. The pool was cool, almost cold even in July but you got used to it. You didn't mind the lack of shade because the water was so cool. The store was very nice and had useful stuff, even towels! Helpful and friendly staff. The spots are a mix of shady and sunny. That sun is hot in the summer though so I think a shady spot will feel very nice. We had a sunnier than shadier. The kids liked the jump pad too.”

“A job contract brought us from Wyoming to Bellevue, NE. Owning a 5th wheel and traveling a considerable amount of the time, we looked for RV parks that were year round. There aren't that many in Nebraska because of the weather. We happened to run across Washington Terrace by chance. So, we checked out the web page and contacted the owner. Steve Hipple is a very cordial person. He is ready and willing to answer questions and share information. He explained that he had a total of 10 (approximate) RV sites located throughout the park. There are a total 150 spaces in the park, primarily trailer homes that are owned, but the space is rented. This park has been here since the 50's and it's literally a "family owned and operated" business since its inception. We were told basically that there was one tenant who was talking about moving out at the end of the month and that we should check back closer to the time that we would be arriving and he would know for sure whether or not he would have an available space then. RV spaces are on a monthly basis, with water and sewage added to the monthly rent. Power and internet must be arranged separately with power being through OPPD and internet through Cox. The rent is also taxed at 7%. The majority of the trailer homes there are owned, but the lot is rented. There are a few trailer homes that are in fact rented out. Then there are those trailer homes that get sold and whoever buys them rents the space. Like I said, space is at a premium here and if you have an RV and are thinking about staying here, check the park out first to make sure that you can in fact get your rig in, parked and out again without issues. The manager Nick, met us the night we came in. He was there at the site waiting and helped to get us parked. We had to ask several neighbors to move their vehicles in order to get in the space, but it was a community effort. There are no laundry or shower facilities here. There used to be a laundry a long time ago, but that burned up and the building was turned into a duplex which gets rented out monthly. If you don't have your own washer and dryer, you will have to go to town to do laundry. There are plenty of kids in the park. They play wherever. There is a park just up the street, but they prefer playing there in the trailer park. It can get loud and noisy sometimes. And it can go that way late into the evening. We ended up speaking to the neighbors regarding the kids playing in our space and the parents made sure that it didn't happen again. There are plenty of dogs in the park. And some of them bark relentlessly. It is a pretty lively place. As far as trash pickup is concerned. There are 2 cans located at the back of the park. The garbage man comes every day Monday - Friday around 7:00-7:30 every morning. They would do well to add 2 more cans somewhere to offset the overflow issue. Speed limit. There is a sign as you enter the park that reads 10 miles per hour, but once inside folks tend to drive quite fast and that makes for potential problems. Mr Hipple would do well to post speed limit signs throughout the park to remind folks that it isn't the Indy 500. All in all, I would say that I enjoyed doing business with Mr Hipple and his manager Nick. They were attentive and listened when I needed to speak to them regarding something. They were there to make sure that I got my rig in safely and securely and when I had to leave before month's end, were willing to see that business was conducted in a honest and simple way. So, if you have a rig, and are thinking about an RV park that is year round here in Bellevue, talk to Mr Hipple first, check out the place if you can and then decide if this is what you want.”

“For recreation it was great! Close to Omaha, they've made a lot of improvements since converting it from Sokol. Very clean and nicely maintained. Fun place to catch a concert or camp. Alcohol prices were fair. We had fun! Might try camping there.”

Walnut Creek Campground

Address: 11902 Turkey Rd, Papillion, NE 68046, USA

Rv park Lodging

“No reservations. $16 per night. First come, first serve. Electric only sites (30/50amp). Whiteboard near the entrance indicated which spots were open. We drove around and selected a spot then put payment in the envelope. Cash only so bring exact change! If you want to stay more time, you simply have to pay for the additional night(s) the same way before Noon the next day. Checkout is 2pm. Sites are plenty large for any size rig. Cement pads made a little wider with gravel for additional vehicle parking. Nice picnic table. A water spigot was located just across the street from our site but our hose was a few feet short so we had to park in the road to fill up water (which doesn't allow anybody to pass). Dump station is convenient near the exit but it's not quite level so we weren't able to completely empty. Location is quiet and a pretty central spot for visiting Omaha or a bit further drive down to Lincoln.”
