Lower Bristlecone Trailhead

Nice place to take a walk

I went with a friend and her pooch while the leaves were turning yellow. It was beautiful!!

Beautiful hiking trail you can hike from the lower Bristlecone to the upper Bristlecone or vice versa the lower part is fairly exposed which on the positive side leaves you with some great views of the mountains but on the negative side you're exposed to a lot of sun be careful. The problem with doing the whole Loop is that if you park at the lower and hike to the upper then you have to walk down the road do you get to your car or vice versa. We did two cars park the car to lower took another car to the upper hiked all around and then drove back up instead of walking on the road

Excellent trail. Wide gradual elevation climb to a winded 9300 feet. Picturesque views. Six mile loop...Bring sunscreen ;-)
