“I was upset that the bank would not take my 3rd party check an gave them a bad review. I was just upset that they froze my account after I tried to deposit the check on the mobile app. I thought that the rule was just a branch or local thing because I read online that you should call your bank branch because it is up to the branch, and because I have never heard of a bank not letting you deposit a 3rd party check. So I figured I would try to deposit it on the Mobile App and see if that worked since I had no other way to cash or deposit the check unless I drove 3hrs. Now I know. I still wish they did not have that policy because I am going to have to drive 3 hrs round trip to get my friend to cash the stupid check. But, I guess I won't cash any more checks for my friends. I talked to the manager today, and he was very nice, and he said my money is not frozen and explained everything to me..”

“Most people around my age who spent much time around a TV during the '70's may still remember the catchy a-cappella jingle for Mutual of Omaha that we would hear during the Wild Kingdom TV show. I am sometimes overly sentimental about many things, so when it came time to select a bank to house a settlement I received, it was an easy choice for me. That might not be the most practical method to select a bank, but it has worked out for me. The people in this bank are very friendly and always accommodating. Part of it for me is that I abhor the banks we see on every street corner: B of A, Wells Fargo, Chase, etc. They might be convenient, but stories of unethical behavior, including holding deposits to cause overdrafts and other sneaky practices (some of which I experienced myself), make me steer clear of them. No such issues ever arose with MOO. However, this bank has been bought out by CIT Bank. Who or what that is, I have no idea. If it was BoA or Wells, I'd already be running down the road clutching what little money I have left. The personnel in the bank will remain, which is a good thing (as they have been through several changes), but that old familiar name will be gone. I'm personally not very happy about that, but I'm optimistic that the services, people, and atmosphere of the place won't change very much.”
