This is a great place to spend the summer or winter at. it's scenic, and secluded. It really makes staying there feel special, compared to a normal hotel in Tahoe. The rooms are good. Not very big however. as for amenities, the extra cookware, puzzles and games at the cabins are a nice touch. The cabin isn't that great on hot days. There is no AC, and the fans they give are just barely enough to keep you cool. In the winter though, this problem is entirely gone as you can just start the fireplace.
The most unfavorable about the place has to be service. Whenever you check in, ask for service or need help from the staff, you have to talk to a person on screen. While it wouldn't be that bad if it was managed well, often times you have to wait a long time before anyone actually shows up on screen. At one point, I asked to get access to the advertised "premium Wi-Fi" (because the free Wi-Fi there is usually about 3-2 bars.) but the person running it didn't even know what to do.
TL;DR, it's a good place to stay if you bring the basics with you. Summertime is okay, and wintertime is the best.
I did not enjoy my experience. Never book in the summer time. They don't have an A/C, and the fans they provided weren't strong enough to cool the unit. They didn't help us when my dad misunderstood the map, and accidentally got the unit with three flights of stairs. My mother can't walk well and had problems with the stairs. We tried to get the street level unit with the smaller staircase but they wouldn't help us. I do like this place, but maybe not in the summer.
Loved it!! We ordered lots of bites to share -- and everything was delicious.
