Bowers Mansion

This place is very special to me. BORN AND RAISED WASHOE VALLEY. My grand parents brought me hear every summer were itook sweming lessons for years by 9 could have been life gard . So beautiful .We would always hiked up to the graves every time we when we would get snaks go on the creepy ture got to go in the house see cool things. So go make memories your family will always remeber.

Fantastic tour guide. Told the story very well kept me engaged the house was great to look at and see all the history inside. Interesting to know that people use to show their wealth by married couples having separate rooms basically because they can. I had no idea. Kool to hear the stories of some of the gold rush in Northern Nevada.

This is a beautiful mansion with a very interesting history from the height of the gold and silver mining era. Lots of Victorian furnishings, a few which are original. There is an original painting of the mansion which played an important part in its history which has been recovered. Lovely grounds and picnic tables too! Washoe County did a great job restoring the mansion and making it available to the public

Wow! What a beautiful house and grounds. Take the tour if you can. Also enjoy the pool on the grounds.

This is fun place to bring your family. The tour of Bowers Mansion is fun (there is a cash fee). The guide is quirky and full of knowledge. Not only can you learn about history from the museum, you can absorb it by soaking up the sun, with a bbq on the park, or a swim in the pool (there is a pool fee). -Regina
