  The spots all had nice shade structures with picnic tables & fire pits. A few even had a grill area too. Bathrooms were pretty clean but 2 of 4 were out of order in loop A. Both dump stations were out of order. Views were great & the campground was clean & quiet. Fills up pretty fast though but we git lucky & found a spot as someone was packing up. Both loops were full after us by 11:30 am on a Saturday.

  This is a unique little State Park with very good rates and a beautiful view of the Sierra Nevada mountains .They have lots of pull through RV sites with water & power hookups. They also have a dump station . The wild horses roam freely and are so gorgeous to view.The lake is very full this year and it's incredibly peaceful. It's located between Carson City and Reno, Nv.

  The water was not turned on yet. It was still too cold. Even with that in mind, it is a great deal for a site with electricity. Loop A was pretty full, but everyone was quiet and friendly. It got a little windy in the afternoons, but that is pretty typical. Overall, it is a great place to camp, and it is close enough to town if you forget anything. That is the biggest reason we usually make this campground our first stop of the year.

  Great campground. We stayed here mid February 2022 in site 1 as a sleepover stop on our way home from Death Valley. The bathrooms are older construction but were very clean. The sites are generous and have electric access in Loop A. The campground filled up; we arrived about 4:00 pm on a holiday weekend and got one of the final sites available. Campground was clean and quiet; although, the water access was turned off. Even sites 8-20 have incredible views of the lake and mountains. Would definitely stay here again if traveling through the area.
