“I loved this place. I am traveling across country and stopped here to meet with a good friend I have not seen in too long. The girls at the front are fun, happy and just engaging- great start. More then a few employees suggested the breakfast tacos and they were really good and filling. My kiddo loved her breakfast and all the food came out hot. The home fries are my favorite.. they are nothing like what others call home fries-- loved them! What I loved about this place is they didn't kick us out :). We had NO idea they closed in the afternoon and were just gabbing away- oblivious that the restaurant had emptied (she's just one of my favorite people) and they didn't bother us.. I know how important that time is for a restaurant so we can't thank you enough! Customer service lacks so much these days and often for solid reason but this place was truly wonderful in all ways! Great food and happy people serving you! A MUST! Plus they have apparently been on tv ... so they are famous. :)”

“Stopped by about ten minutes before closing (9pm) to grab a coffee since most of the starbucks in Reno close at 7pm or 8pm. I tried to mobile order the drink ahead of time because I have a bit of anxiety about ordering at coffee shops right before closing. I used to work at Starbucks and know it's a bit annoying to have someone order a couple minutes before closing after most of the bar has been cleaned up. Anyways, the barista who took my order on the drive thru was so sweet and greeted me with a smile. Although I'm sure she didn't think much of it, it really made my night. I know working customer service jobs are exhausting but (as cliche as this sounds) a good attitude seriously makes all the difference.”

We sat down with a very informative employee named Eric who helped with ordering some household blinds. Eric was knowledgeable and helpful with explanations, guidance and suggestions. “Not perfect (just as humans are not perfect either) but I have lived a month without one, after having them in every bathroom for a decade or more, and it has been a horrible experience. Let's face it: if you wanted to wash your hands, you wouldn't wipe them with toilet paper and say, "They're clean now." All you have done is smear everything to the point that you think you are clean. You have to at least get water involved, and the Biffy does that. So, 10 seconds of the spray, one paper towel, and you are on your way...no stopped-up toilets, and definitely a higher level of hygiene. Yes, I have tried one other brand, and it was useless. We have had one leak, and one of them squeaked, but other than that, we can't imagine living without them. Ok, we're spoiled.”

“ACTUAL STARS: 4.5 Stars If I'm not mistaken, I believe this is my third review of Blue Diamond 99 Cents Only Store in only the last few months. Usually, I wouldn't write this many reviews, but I like passing along positive things I see to Yelp readers. Yesterday, I followed my wife into this store as I usually do. I don't walk around with her since she's the shopper and knows best about produce, which she says is the best deal in town at this store when the vegetables and fruits are well-stocked in the morning hours. They also have the only "light" coffee cream I've ever seen. I mill about in the front of the store or the parking lot. But today, standing at the store entrance, I noticed how well stocked and clean this store appeared. I also didn't recognize the cashiers and young women who seemed to be the manager or in-charge. It seems that she (the manager) has turned things around and gotten the cashiers to be friendlier and more personable with customers. The store is also cleaner, seemingly brighter, and merchandised better than I remember exactly one month ago to the day. I say props for her or whoever is taking charge of this store and doing such an excellent job of merchandising and training the employees, who seem happier and more pleasant towards customers.
