“I met Dr. Prokurat when he operated on my sister in June 2017. As fate would have it, one month later, I was in the ER at Centrastate Medical Center with what I thought was an enflamed appendix. I asked Dr. Prokurat to take my case and I will be eternally grateful that he did. After reviewing my CAT scan, Dr. Prokurat explained the situation was much more involved than just the appendix. In addition, my gall bladder was enflamed and I was in desperate need of repair to a recurrent ventral hernia. Given these factors and my specific medical history, the surgery would be complex with a high degree of risk. Dr. Prokurat spent a great deal of time at my bedside – explaining his surgical plan and outlining all of the potential risks. He answered my questions and through his confident and kind manner, he somehow managed to put me at ease. Once I agreed to proceed, he put together an excellent surgical team and executed his plan. Dr. Prokurat is smart, experienced, and extremely competent. Beyond his technical skills, he is compassionate, caring and provides a real human touch with his patients. Thanks to Dr. Prokurat and his team, I am now well and fully recovered. I would recommend him without hesitation.”

He recommended me to the best surgeon which was a Meridian doctor, not one affiliated with his hospital. He was very concerned and he took the time to make sure that I was seen asap. I was seen and operated on within 5 days. The staff is professional which to some, may seem abrupt. They're not! They have great senses of humor. The staff has always been extremely helpful.
