The kind of food they serve and at the price it's offered - is amazing. Just priced right. A lot of food for the price. Ordered family meal, it was huge portions of 2 sides and whole chicken. “This hidden gem is definitely worth adding to your bucket list. The food is delicious, I have never tasted anything like this before. Great and clean atmosphere, good music, a bit of an upscale presence given the cutlery, real plates and service/sauces. The gentleman at the front desk was welcoming. Literally no complaints and I’m usually very critical. 10/10 definitely recommend. We got the quarter chicken dark plate and chicken tenders (not breaded/fried) although that’s an option.”

“I recently indulged in takeout from Sakura Sushi in Manalapan, and I must say, my taste buds were in for a treat. While the menu boasted an extensive selection of classic Japanese dishes, I couldn't resist indulging in a few staples. Here's the lowdown on what I ordered: The chicken teriyaki was undoubtedly the highlight of the meal, with a perfect blend of savory and sweet flavors that left me wanting more. I'd give it a solid 4 out of 5 stars. The katsudon, while tasty, wasn't quite as impressive as the teriyaki. The pork cutlet was cooked to perfection, but the dish lacked a certain depth of flavor that would have elevated it to the next level. I'd give it a 3.5 out of 5 stars. Moving on to the sushi, the Philly roll was decent, but nothing to write home about. The same can be said for the spicy tuna and salmon rolls, which were fresh but not exceptional. Each of these rolls garnered a 3.5 out of 5 stars from me. Unfortunately, the kani salad was a bit of a letdown. While the dish had potential, the lack of masago and flavor left me feeling underwhelmed. I'd give it a 3 out of 5 stars. The miso soup and house salad were both decent, but again, nothing to write home about. Each dish received a 3.5 out of 5 stars. While the food was certainly enjoyable, I couldn't help but notice that it didn't seem as fresh as it could have been. Compared to other sushi places I've dined at, Sakura Sushi fell a bit short in this department. All things considered, I'd give Sakura Sushi a respectable 3.5 out of 5 stars. While there were certainly highlights, the food as a whole didn't quite reach the level of excellence I was hoping for.”

“The owners are super nice. Bumped into them when I was ordering a pizza for take out. Had a nice chat with them. Ended up coming back per their recommendation to try out the restaurant food and entrees. Pretty good. Will definitely be coming back to try other items. Most places skimp on the salad when the meal comes with it but La Dona did a good job. Their pizzas are fantastic, and I had the chicken Parm entree. Big portion and their tomato sauce is delicious!”

“You know, good for these people for offering delicious, kosher food without taking total advantage of their market. Usually, kosher restaurants are like 50% more expensive than other restaurants, without necessarily delivering a higher quality. But not this place! They're doing it right. My family really liked the beef spare ribs, crispy duck, and home style tofu. Next time we'll try the dumplings! Also the waiter is super nice and attentive, plus the food runners bring the food hot and fresh. Nice place!”

“I absolutely love this restaurant! Stumbled upon it a few years back during a lobster fest they did and have been back several times since. The management is excellent! You can tell they take pride in what they do. Everyone from the bartenders to the servers to upper management are so pleasant to be around. When they're around I can always cou t kn the chef/manager to come out and say hello, make sure everyone is happy with the food and service. The food is spectacular too at reasonable prices. I mus my say, even if the food weren't excellent, I'd frequent the place based on service alone. That being said, you must go try the food as I think it speaks for itself. Nice views, clean restaurant, friendly staff and great food. Can't say enough about this spot.”

“I eat breakfast or lunch at Manalapan Luncheonette at least once a week. Don't judge the place by the unpaved parking lot and ramshackle looking building. I've been a happy customer for many years. I can think of few restaurants that serve such good food at such low prices Ina collegial pleasant atmosphere. Tony, the owner, and his son Nick are accomplished cooks. They make me feel at home. I joke with Tony my car GPS locks onto his address on its own so I have no choice but to stop in! Prices are low and portions are generous. I'm sure you will enjoy eating at Manalapan Luncheonette. I rarely write reviews. When I do, the review is a positive one that has been well-earned.”
