“Beautiful, tranquil, and lovely. I am a new york city girl who needed to get away. Walden on the Pond meet all my expectations and more. I felt like I was taken back in time. I was a victorain lady of leisure for a week. The main inn and the cottage was decorated lovely. Everywhere I looked was pure eye candy. My daughter's came down with me, when it was time for them to leave they were already making plans to return. I spent 4 days relaxing, painting, sipping tea, sipping wine, and enjoying some much needed alone time. The best thing I was able to bring my fur baby. The owner was a living doll, she made you feel at home. We never did have our glass of wine. No worries, God willing, I will be back. If you are considering this oasis for a get away, stop wasting time and book it. Tell them LadyPam sent ya. Give my love to the duck family.”

“This was my first time there, and had an excellent experience. It's a beautiful house, very clean and comfortable, from the outside porch area to the inside of the rooms. The owners (Joe and Hellin) are extremely well organized, very friendly, and very knowledgeable about the area. The house is also close to the beach - about two blocks. The town & shops on 3rd Avenue are within walking distance, about a half-mile away. Beach chairs, beach umbrellas, beach towels, and bicycles are all provided. Breakfast hours are between 8am And 10: 30am. I was also pleasantly surprised by how friendly the people in Spring Lake are in general - it's like being in another world actually. I have good memories of my stay there and would love to go back someday.”

“Our recent stay (September 2018) at the Ocean House in Spring Lake was like a little piece of heaven. Days on the pristine beach drinking in the sights, sounds, and smells of the ocean, against a backdrop of the picture-perfect town and lake... Staying at the Ocean House, one of the huge old mansions that were converted into B&Bs, was a delight. It's beautifully decorated and kept in top-notch condition. The rooms are lovely and comfortable. The breakfasts were elegant, including delicious home-made specialties that change from day to day; you can enjoy the meal and a newspaper or book on the large cozy wrap-around porch. The hotel is a block away from the beach, and provides the amenities you need: beach chairs, towels, and a convenient shower to clean off after your time on the beach. Best of all, the owners Jared and Colleen, with their two adorable little ones (and in fact all the staff), create such a warm and welcoming atmosphere, making it feel like our home away from home. We can't wait to go back!”

“I was so pleasantly surprised by the HW. I came here for accommodations in November (off season) for 1 night and the hotel, grounds, and service were very well kept and received. The room (for 4 people, Rm 22) was cozy and functional I couldn't believe this hotel was built in the 1800s! No weird smells, the carpets and bathroom were clean and the lobby attendant was so hospitable. Would absolutely return if I am in the area. **For handicap guests please note there are no elevators make sure when you book you ask for an ADA friendly room. It's not easy to tell from the website, best to call.”
