Just note I think the guy might be Russian and is rough around the edges. He asks you what oil you want. In kind of a gruff grumpy way. If you don't know, just choose the standard oil change.”

“I’ve been a long time Mavis customer and decided to try a closer location to home and was not disappointed. Not that the other Mavis location was bad, but most of the time when I scheduled an appointment they would be behind schedule because of the location size and/ or a short-handed staff situation. This Mavis has larger service area which made for a more quick and pleasant trip for my oil change. The customer service was friendly and accommodating and there was no high pressure sales tactics. They did recommend that I replace my windshield wipers, but I decided to do that myself without any argument. I highly recommend this Mavis (Dover) location and look forward to future visits!!!”

“So had an experience with another tire shop and they were going to charge me an arm and a leg for new tires and installing a level kit on an F150. Never ordered the tires I asked for and showed up the day I was told and they didn’t have them. I called Pepboys the same day and asked if they had the tires in stock. They got the tires within a day and I saved a few hundred dollars with the mounting and balancing as well as the install of the leveling kit. I will say this much, they are some of the nicest people I have worked with and am glad I went to them to have the work done. If you’re looking for a tire place or even something like a suspension install I would genuinely recommend them to anyone! Thank you for the great experience and will gladly come back if anything else ever pops up.”

“I used to bring my 2009 BMW 328i to a service technician in Jersey City. He really knew foreign vehicles and especially BMWs. And, his prices were fair and reasonable. Then he left and I couldn't locate him. Recently, during the heat wave, my AC started blowing hot air. I took my car to a shop I was using for service and they diagnosed the problem as a bad sensor behind the dashboard and the dashboard would have to be removed to replace the part. And, they were not up to doing it. "Take it to BMW" Well BMW charged me a lot of money to replace the back gasket over the oil pan. The part was $60. But some parts had to be dropped to replace gasket. The bill was a lot! No way, I wanted the dashboard removed by BMW. Anyway. I went back to the old shop in Jersey City and the owner had the technician's number. I called and he now owns this repair shop. I live in Hoboken and drove my car to Booten. He diagnosed the car. Told me the sensor was fine. He just had to replace freon and recalibrate the car. The AC started blowing cold. I gladly paid him a few hundreds dollars and I was good Any further issues with my BMW, I'll be driving to Booten. Ron J”

“Dave's sound repair is a complete hidden gem of a business. My understanding is that Dave primarily focuses on repairing sound equipment including guitar amps, etc. I have had minimal interactions with Dave but have found him very easy to deal with. In addition to Dave, Bill handles work on guitars and I have utilized Bill's services for professional setup of four of my guitars including two Fender Telecasters, a Rickenbacker 330, and a Gibson Les Paul. While these are all quality guitars on their own, after Bill worked on them, they played like entirely guitars and sounded and felt great. Bill really knows what he is doing with guitars and highly recommend his services. Anyone purchasing a new guitar should take it straight to Bill to be setup. Any issues throughout the life of a guitar whether it be repair or maintenance, Bill is the guy. I can't recommend this business highly enough.”

“My truck started smoking like crazy on rt 80 when i pulled over and looked underneath i saw the trans fluid was leaking onto the exhaust. I googled truck repair near me and thank god randall ave garage popped up first. I was able to make it there . It was after hours so noone was there. As i waited for my wife to come get me, Gary (the owner) pulled up and asked what i was doing there i told him my situation and he said he isnt taking on any more work as he had wayyy to much to get done as it was . Luckily he saw i was in a jam and he was willing to help he explained to me that it was hard getting parts right now but he would try and then let me know what he finds out. Gary called me the next morning and said noone in nj had the parts but he was able to locate them at a dealership in ny and they would be delivered the following day. Gary went above and beyond for me (service that is extremely rare these days) and had my truck back to me b4 i could miss it. I know he isnt looking for new customers but i wanted to share my experience. Gary is a true professional and i appreciate him”

“I live 4.5 hours from this area, but I was coming to the area to buy a vehicle. I called the day before to Campbell's to see if they were able to look at the car since I wasn't able to take it to my personal mechanic. I read the great reviews, so I felt I could trust this mechanic. When we arrived with the vehicle, the shop was out of power due to a recent storm with power-line damage. However, the gentleman at the garage (I am assuming the owner) was wonderful! He did as much as he could to look at the car and talked to me directly without the dealer around to tell me his thoughts on the car. He was incredibly trustworthy and very, very nice. I wish I lived closer so I could take my vehicles to him. Such a great guy and a great place!”

“I took my Nissan Rogue to Ken's after a deer creamed my front corner panel. From the start, everyone was polite and upfront about pricing and estimating how long the repair would take. I've heard stories about supply chain delays and labor shortages. They likely turned what would have been a one to two-week job into a four-week job. I was prepared for the extra waiting time. I got my car back this morning and so far I'm pleased with the results. On the plus side, Ken and his staff were very accommodating. They gave me a ride back home when I dropped off and brought my car to me when the repair was done. On the minus side, my car's interior smelled strongly of cigarette smoke and there may well have been an extra few miles on the odometer. The bottom line for me...the job of repairing my car's damage was done well. The other stuff is the difference between a four-star and a five-star rating.”
