“Back again the April in our 38 Renegade. Sites are limited for bigger rigs so make reservations. Monday, April 8th and the park is full. We were passing thru and could only find one site, #8, that was even close to fitting us. Very tight fit with a jeep beside us. But, very pretty location. Electric is 30A & no water connection. Water is available at several spigots around the park. There is a central dump. Our site is located at a Y, so the opening allows for 100mbs of Starlink. AT&T service is 4 bars, 20lbs but when streaming it continually stutters (bandwidth limit?) except on VPN which hides the streaming. Easier to deploy Starlink. There are several trails here. Come prepared. Roads in/out are muddy after rains and they have warning signs. Nearby Mountainair has very limited supplies.”

“Interesting site. I am always surprised to find stone ruins in the US. I suppose the various TV shows/movies focus on Native Americans in tents and settlers in wooden structures. This was a large sophisticated Pueblo with some of the buildings 4 stores high. The church was a fine size and it will be interesting to compare it to other Pueblo churches which are still intact. Great tour from the ranger.”
