“This is my favorite store in Albuquerque! It is fun, funky and fresh and I absolutely LOVE IT. I have been shopping here for years and always find something new and exciting to take home with me and/or buy as a gift for friends and family. They have the cutest gallery space and really highlight the talent of local artists. Whenever I have visitors come from out of town, Stranger Factory is always on the "must-see" list. All of that being said, the staff is great too. Karl is super friendly and knowledgeable and a great artist to boot! Check them out. You won't be disappointed!”

“Artists: Jeanne Rundell, Janice Cook & Bill Cook are great artists in their own right, and doing fabulous work in unique art, creative pottery and extraordinary clay lighting. While visiting their fantastic location, we had the opportunity to get a first-hand tour of the shop, showroom and work area, seeing up close and personal how they create and produce their fantastic and whimsical works of art. Their story alone is inspiring, and we learned of the Artists personal passions which inspire such works of art, from design, to creation, to the kiln, the displays, to the showings, to point of purchase! We enjoyed Jeanne Rundell’s sweet, engaging manner, not to mention her personalizing and riveting enlightenments of their process of conceptualizations. We did indeed purchase a couple of unique, one-of-a-kind works (pics to follow) while there! We also had the opportunity to meet not only Jeanne, but Janice Cook and Bill Cook, the other artists comprising the heart, soul and art of “The Potteries”! For posterity, we were able to get a picture of my wife with Jeanne and Janice, the Artists who created the works we purchased. Ask them about their design and renovation of their store’s façade! Whenever in Mesilla, this is a place you cannot afford to miss… the art, the Artists, the showroom, workshop and their work cannot and should not be missed!”

“A day trip from Tijeris, NM, where our RV was parked as we travel on Route 66 - led us down Highway 14 (becoming “The Turquoise Trail”) This beautiful drive took us into Madrid, NM where we enjoyed the festive casual atmosphere of wonderful shops down Main Street featuring local Native American artists. We certainly chose a perfect gallery to shop. Greeted by an accomplished owner and great staff, we found wonderful items and gifts and made new friends. We highly recommend “Gifted Hands Gallery” to any one traveling through to Santa Fe or Albuquerque. I rank it as top notch and totally unique.”

“We enjoyed chatting with this artist! She loves what she makes! Her pieces of jewelry are amazing! I had to have these earrings. Even if you're not into steampunk you should look at her creations! Some cute clothes too!”

“An amazing little gallery filled with works by local artists and craftsmen ! We bought a small painting at a great price which will be added to our growing collection of paintings by New Mexico artists. The lady there was kind and told us about all kinds of up coming events and had a map that showed all of the available ships and restaurants in the area! This place is a must see for visitors”

“Wonderful gallery with amazing artwork by my boyfriend, a classically trained oil painter! The gallery also features beautiful finds like original earrings and gorgeous, handmade cards. The gallery even features eclectic finds like quilts and sculptures. We enjoyed an outdoor lunch next door on the patio, with an amazing view of Placitas mountains. Alan's solo exhibit and reception is on May 15 from 1-4PM.”

“Amazing artist and a great studio to visit. I highly recommend anyone in the area to make a trip to this gallery. It’s in the historic town of Cerrillos. The paintings he has for sale are beautifully thought out and mastered. The artist also has prints and other artwork for sale. I was lucky to acquire the painting I fell in love with from Trent Edwards. It looks exquisite in my home.”

“Small gallery featuring tons of local artists at this location!!! Cibola Arts hosts various art shows and small events in conjunction with the Manzano Mountain Arts Council (MMAC) throughout the year. Inside you will find jewelry, woodworking crafts, paintings, multimedia art and so much more. Open 7 days a week by utilizing volunteers, it’s a great place to stop and see local art anytime you visit the Town of Mountainair... stop by whenever you are visiting the “Heart of New Mexico” (Central New Mexico - Mountainair is located 10 miles from the geographical center of the state!)”

“Great place, always has something cool to see or experience. Parking is hit and miss and downtown is downtown. There is almost always an unhinged Christian preaching about the fires of hell on the corner. I would suggest visiting in the daylight and I’m not joking.”

“It’s always a pleasure to see Olivia’s art. Even more powerful of an experience in her beautiful studio with its big windows and natural light. 10/10 would go again”

“Santa Fe is flooded with galleries, but this is the one to actually stop and take some time in. Sara is fantastic at what she does. You can tell each piece is carefully selected because she's felt some kind of connection to it, and she has individual relationships with each artist she shows. My boyfriend is a digital artist, and she was so interested in listening to him talk about his work and processes in his medium, and I loved sitting back and listening to them talk art for a while. I'm more of a "I like art that is pretty and makes me feel nice" person, and she still made me feel welcome and answered my simpler questions without a hint of snobbery that I've felt elsewhere. The gallery is inside her home, which is also a work of art in and of itself. And I can confirm that the art here was pretty and made me feel nice. All in all, a wonderful way to while away a few hours and hopefully find something beautiful to take home with you!”
