“I miss Parsons…. Lived here and went to school here as a child. While it wasn’t always roses and sunshine back in the mid 2000’s, I will say the staff were good to us. None of the staff had to work there yet they chose to help kids like us. This place will always have a special place in my heart. Thanks for all the help Parsons/Northern Rivers. I appreciate all you did for me. What my parents weren’t willing to do y’all definitely did. Oh, and if Lester still works there I’m sure he’ll remember this: Me: Lester Lester stop the van!! Lester: why? Me: I lost my eraser!! Good times :D”

“I was a student at parson they helped kids there like me learn how to be responsible, manage a good behavior, participate when needed, most of all patience. I was accepted for who I was there and I'm seeing these reviews like it's a horrible place to be. IT'S NOT a "prison", it's not unprofessional, it's not a unacceptable place to bring ur kids to. These people have rules to follow and kids to worry of. They're very patient with these kids. Just the parents need to be patient with the workers. Cooperation from my mom and the workers worked very well cause of the patience she had with them. I was a straight A student cause Parsons taught me responsibilities, managing my behavior, and participate when need be. I actually had jobs cause I used their techniques and teachings to use. I was well remembered, idol, and famous for when I went to school there. My teachers miss me so do my friends. The electric rule is applied because of drama, nonparticipation, and not focusing on important material. If you read to this point then good for you cause you have patience to read and listen to others' oppinions. Thank you Parsons for the time I was there and now. I miss you all. P.S. Parsons has a job program for the students that make it to highschool. I was a mailman, librarian, and kitchen staff. They teach you how to do the job as you work. I got paid well from them. I had almost $100 every month. This program helps with responsibilities of a job and give experience to those who want a part-time job in the future.”

“Staff there are nice. They can be busy but try there best to help out. There are sometimes issues on the other units and they can't help you out until the situation is better. They try there best to make an okay environment for the kids that live there. Some of the staff do get overwhelmed from either the kids or on how people call out and the supervisor asks if they can do a double shift. They also try to help the kids find copping skills so when the staff are busy the kids can use there copping skills but it doesn't always work. They have a great team when all of the team is there. They expect certain things to help the kids out.”

“Very welcoming and hospitable. My husband and I went for Friday night Sabbath services recently, and the staff was willing to have us stay for the post-service barbecue even though the reservation deadline had passed. The facility has a beautiful sanctuary, and the service was not too long. The only problem was a messy stall in the ladies room, which should have been cleaned up before services. Other than that, we had an enjoyable experience at Beth Emeth.”

“A wonderful nurturing, character building and fantastic academic environment! The place to give your children a great base of Judaic traditions, values and education .”
