Beautiful tranquil piece of paradise. Lots of animals ( birds, ducks, turtles butterflies etc). Beautiful flowers love easy to walk tails. Definitely worth a visit.
Such a peaceful place to go and enjoy a nice nature walk. There’s a lot to see so be sure to take your time!
Gorgeous place! This was such a pleasant hiking area. So many beautiful plants and trails. And they’re dog friendly! Parking was a little confusing because the building looks a lot like someone’s house.
Nice for a relaxing/leisurely walk less than a hike but more than a small jaunt. Educational related to trees. The paths can be a little confusing but a nice "choose your own adventure"!
This former private residence is now the home of some amazing trees, ponds, wildlife, and 22 acres of walking paths. Although the house itself is closed for covid reasons, the grounds remain open all year round and are free to explore. We enjoyed a leisurely walk in May, appreciating the blooming magnolias, dogwood, and some early peonies. There are at least eight ponds on the property, so you really need bug spray or long pants as the seasons get warmer. The trails are fairly well maintained, but there are some spots with high grass, so you should also take check afterwards. Be sure to pick up a brochure as you begin your walk or you may get turned around. There are no maps once you are out on the trail. Have fun exploring!
