“We had a lovely stay at Chrystie House. The rooms are nicely decorated and our room even had a full library of books, including many titles on art and history. The bathroom had hand-painted tiles from Spain and was unlike any other b&b we’ve stayed. They even accommodated our vegan diet and prepared an amazing homemade Chinese meal for us. It’s very close to the Main Street but feels secluded and like a nice retreat from city life. The hosts are very personable and keep a beautiful home. The property also serves as a gallery for the owner’s paintings, which are really stunning. Overall, just such a nice place to getaway and relax.”

“My boyfriend and I booked a room here last minute, and from the moment I spoke with Shirley, the owner, on the phone, she was sweet and warm as can be. The only room they had left to book for the evening was "their best room," she said, which was the Magnolia Room. It was definitely the best! With a nearly completely panoramic view of the Hudson River Valley from either the enclosed deck (which is exclusive to the room), or the outside deck (which is public, but accessible from the enclosed deck). Both Shirley and her inn-keeping partner Charlie were so sweet yet professional, and everything about our stay there was all we wanted it to be. We'll definitely be regulars from now on! :)”

“Nice, cozy b&b. The owners, Neil & Darlene, are very accommodating. We came as a family of 4 and have lived in the Tranquility room for 2 nights - the room was gorgeous, the homemade breakfast delicious and the location is great.”
