“I can't say enough about how beautiful this hotel is and how amazing the breakfast is, I mean really amazing!! Nothing compares to the staff though! Managers, receptionist, house keeping, everyone was just phenomenal!! Would stay here even if destination was 30min away and I live right over the bridge (20min away) haha We used this hotel the night before and after my wedding. We lucked out and got a handicapped room which gave me, 3 bridesmaids, 2 hair, and 1 makeup artist plenty of space to get ready!”

“The staff of this hotel made all the difference in our stay. The manager, the front desk staff and the service staff were like a family. The staff was consistently cheerful and helpful no matter what time of day or night it was. They kept the morning coffee and snacks well stocked and neat and replaced the coffee urns when they were empty. They provided the optional room supplies when requested and found ice cube trays for us when none were in the room. All the supplies were clean and in good condition. The rooms were clean and well maintained. We appreciated the soap and shampoo samples in the room. Although there was no housekeeping automatically provided due to our shorter stay, we had no problem getting fresh towels, toilet paper, and even a sheet for the floor for our infant to play upon. The trash room on our floor was emptied every day and there was no debris in the halls. The roof was in process of replacement and there was a large sign on the front desk and attached to the front door notifying patrons. The perimeter of the hotel was cordoned off for safety depending on which part of the roof was being done. The work did not start until at least 8 AM. Early, yes, but not unreasonable for any contractor work. The TV cable was damaged by the roofers and the TV service was out for 3 of our 5 day stay. I was on the first floor babysitting an infant and could here the exchanges at the front desk as I walked him. The staff fielded all the complaints with courtesy though they, like all of us, were at the mercy of the cable company. My only suggestion would be to make the entire hotel non-smoking. There is simply no way to prevent the smell that drifts from smoking to non smoking rooms.”

“This location is more like a short term stay location than a hotel/motel. Has a full kitchen with full size refrigerator and all other appliances. Separate bedroom area thought no walls, living area has TV and fireplace. Bathroom area has separate toilet and sink area. Also has safe in closet, closet is small but ok unless you have a bunch of children with you. Bed was very nice, clean sheets for sure, they were crisp very nice. Overall nice unit, dated but clean and maintained. Outside grounds need some paint and steam cleaning but has no effect on room. Parking lot has some holes from the winter weather site beware. They have a morning breakfast but we were to late for it. A Cracker Barrel just down the street also a great 50's style diner next to it..Good location...”

“The rooms are clean and comfortable. I wish the AC units worked a little better, it can be hard to get it to run at the times you want it, since the room can get a little stuffy. Other than that, everything was great! Friendly staff, nice breakfast selection and coffee in the lobby. And there is a microwave downstairs for guest use. There is also a fridge in the room.”

“First, the location is great, right off the highway and within 20 minutes of 2 major interchanges. The hotel itself is a great value for the money. It is very clean, the staff is very friendly. They have a great lobby for meeting up with people and grabbing a drink at the bar. The rooms are very comfortable and have good amenities. The breakfast layout is great too featuring a ton of different options, and change from day to day. Checkout was super fast too. This is my go to hotel when I'm in the area.”

“This was a perfect place for a break away from NYC. So easy to get to via the metro north line and Jim’s accommodation is only short and inexpensive Uber ride away from the train station in beacon (less than ten minutes). Jim’s gorgeous property is located on the foothills of mt beacon we took the nearest trail from his location the notch trail and hiked for about 4 hours using the maps he provided. The property is peaceful and so pretty. Loads of outdoor seating area to relax and look out at the view of the surrounding woodland. My boyfriend and I both slept wonderfully (gotta love the sound of silence) comfortable and quaint rooms. We will be back again, Jim was a very welcoming host thank you.”
